Yes. /\

and...

Followed by sbxxx Larry Brown two ints.... I was struggling at the thought of losing that SB. Larry saved me. Lol
I maintain Neil O'Donnell saved you. I actually wondered if he got a Cowboys players share after that game.

#DezCaughtIt - forced the contortions to redefine what is and what isn't a catch, clouding the issue forever.

Changed the entire NFL.

Indeed, you are correct!

Let me frame it up for you.

It’s the early to mid 90s
We are right off of back to back SB wins
We lose to 49ers in nfc title game
We get back to sbxxx

In all of my circles I am known as “cowboy” in ny.
Like the cowboys and their dominance in the nfl... I am dominating all my circles. People are really hating on me... against me.

Now.... with sbxxx looking like it was swinging other way(it was a game of two different half’s. We dominate first then Stealers dominate second half).

I was setting up to be a mother flowering piñata..... lol

Especially after losing to 9ers year before.

In short. I NEEDED ... one more win, one more year of bragging and torturing New Yorkers lol

Yeehaw!

I remember Super Bowl XXX. It's 20-17, Cowboys, and the Steelers have the ball. My heart is thumping so hard...and then Larry Brown picks off O'Donnell; Emmitt scored, and it was game over.

And from then it was just a rush of relief and euphoria. There's nothing like watching your team win it all as a sports fan. It still gives me chills thinking about it all these years later.

He invented the 3rd down half back position...........great player!

Came over in a trade with Pittsburgh and if I am not mistaken was the only player on the team for several years that wasn't drafted by the Cowboys.

Many possibilities but that long pass to Harper in the 92 nfc championship game was awesome. Such sweet revenge for the “catch” game. I wore the same shirt (knockoff Danny White jersey) for both games.

Also that long fumble return by James Washington in the next years Super Bowl was great too.

The greatest play in cowboys history was made by the weather with an assist to Vince Lombardi.
No way the cowboys lose to Green Bay in 67 without the ice bowl factored into the equation. We were a superior team that year and the pack was a shell of its former self.
We had just plastered Cleveland 52-14 in the playoffs and were eager for the rematch with the pack. The ice took away our speed and severely altered our game. Advantage pack. Then vinny froze up the field and we were done. Super bowl ll was ours for the taking
When I watched the replay of this game a few years ago I noticed Bob Hayes running routes with his hands in his pockets, a good indicator they werent going his way. I am pretty sure GB figured that out too.

Jackie Smith drop & the BS PI call against Benny Barnes vs. the Steelers.
I think the bogus PI call on Benny Barnes was more impactful. We still had momentum after the Jackie Smith drop but the PI on the long pass to Swann changed field position and then a ref even made a textbook block on Charlie Waters to completely turn the game in Pittsburgh's favor. I still have not forgiven back judge Fred Swearingen for that biased call. (Roger Staubach hasn't either for that matter)

The moment the phone was hung up with Mike Lynn.

yup...if it wasn't for that heist...I'm sure the Dallas natives would have run Jerry out of town by now. 3 Super Bowl trophies buys you some street cred for sure.

But I think we all know...this was Jimmy's idea. Because Jerry sure wouldn't have the balls to make a trade like that then...or now.

It might have resulted in a victory, but it also might not have. The score would have been tied at the end of regulation. Who knows who would have won the coin toss in OT. Whoever won that coin flip would only need a field goal to win in sudden death with the rules at the time.

The most important play in history was Chuck Howley's INT of Griese's pass on Super Bowl 6.on the 4th quarter.

That play sealed the deal for the Cowboys, erased any attempt at a comeback by a dangerous team that would record the most prolific season in history the following year.

You would have to have beem a fan at the time to realize how that olay erased years of frustration and heartbreak.

Three prior championship appearences.....three losses on the last play of the game.

"Chokers"

"Can't win the Big One"

Chuck Howley was the previous years SB MVP, in a game they loss on a last sexond field goal.
