I assumed we were reffering soley to NFL hits

"The Hit" Is unquestionably the best hit ever, at any level, though

What makes it so amazing is that Coryatt hits him so violently, yet doesnt even move when the hit occurs

second is steve atwater on okoye....people still talk about that hit today.

That would have to be Ken Norton Jr in SB 28. Remember him hitting Kenneth Davis at the one yard line? The next play, Kelley threw an Interception to Everett. Changed the complexion of the game.

Actually, I'm sure there a bigger ones....that one sticks in my head.

The Norton hit was in XXVII not XXVIII. I just watched it last night.

Oh man, that hit always brings a sick feeling to me.

BTW...Campbell vs Tatum is the hardest NFL hit I have ever seen.

That one had me jumping up and down....and then to top it off, the Bills go for it on 4th, and gets picked off by Everett.

Chuck Bednarik hit Gifford so hard he missed the entire next season.

Chuck Bednarik hit Gifford so hard he missed the entire next season.

I've never understood how that injured Gifford so badly, it doesnt LOOK like he hits him in a way that would do more than level him and make him sore.

Part of the reason is because both are going full steam and Bednarik hits him chest high while his head is turned upfield. He never saw the hit coming. So he wasn't braced for it.
