All the talk about the Cowboys and their distractions. We are in fact the most focused team of the bunch.

Just look

Eagles - there are the hottest soap opera on tv - "As McNabb's World Turns"
Giants - talk about lost, the coach is lost, the QB is lost and the team is lost - "The Manning Young and the Restless"
Commanders - the forever winners of the offseason moves... but oddly enough... the have even lost that this year - "The Not-so Golden Girls"

Cowboys - came on strong at times last year... have emerging players, good young talent. One play away from going deep in playoffs last year.

Ladies and Gentlemen. We ARE the team to beat in NFC East. No matter what some schmo writes about Eagles or Giants.

We are almost back to prominance.

i think we have to win a playoff game before we say we are almost back to PROMINANCE. But i do think we are the team to beat in the NFC East.

Yup, not back to prominence in the NFL, but we are quickly becoming the class of the NFC East.

sigh, what could've been had Romo started the season...

Some would argue that just means he would have been figured out sooner.

Look, the East does not have many good teams. The Skins might be the worst in the NFC. The Eagles will struggle to be an 8-8 team. The Giants can only regress with Coughlin still there less Tikki and a QB living under his brother's shadow in the biggest media town in the world. No pressure there!
;)
But so what if the Boys are least distracted? Not saying much.

Yes, I'm sure last season's December swoon and 9-7 record along with a wholesale coaching change has the other NFC East teams recognizing our "focus."

I honestly can't figure out what 'direction' either Washington or the Giants have.

Washington is still signing free agents as if they're loading up for a Super Bowl run.

Does anyone truly believe that can happen?

I sure don't.

So I don't see why they would sign more aging free agents to add to their collection.

The Giants seem to be throwing away this season in a holding pattern for whoever takes over for Tom Couighlin next season.

They've lost their franchise back and their left tackle and have replaced both with lesser talent. This from a team who started strong and then backed into the playoffs last year.

I can't figure out the direction of either team.

The way I see it is it's going to come down between the Boys and Eagles. The Eagles have had our number recently and we'll have to beat them before I start saying we're the class of the east. I do have high hopes for us this season but I did last season and the year before that too.

The Giants to me seem to be the "wildcard" in the East race, they seem to play the NFC east really tough while they falter against other teams in the league. If they can go forward without Tiki they might be a contender.

I do believe we have a legit shot this year.......we need to get that home field advantage in the playoffs.

hmmm...I think you'd have a hard time convincing fans of other teams that we don't have our own concerns and soap operas surrounding a retread coach that we hope will be great, a QB who ended our playoff hopes on a terrible fumble last season and who had an average 2nd half at best, and T.O. by himself and as a middle aged pair of starting WR's.

I have high hopes, but I'm keeping quiet about how sound and focused we are in comparison with other teams.

Does anybody really believe that opposing offenses didn't figure him out?

Last time I checked, the Eagles won the division last year without their MVP-caliber QB, and they won a playoff game.

The Gints scare me a little, somehow they seem to play better with their backs against the wall, even their last SB was a "Gints are done" season.

I guess that would make our Soap Opera of comparison - "Dallas"
