Williams has demonstrated time and time again that he doesn't possess the strength to handle the guard position by consistently getting manhandled by Defensive Linemen.
He may be better suited for Right Tackle due to not having to go against interior linemen who can push him around over and over. If not, then they need to move on or find a replacement at guard and make him a backup

So what qualifies you to make this determination, over our OL coaches??? Just wondering if you have some insight or expertise???

if he sucks at OG...no reason to believe he won't suck at OT.
if Smith or Collins aren't ready or there is a out of no where retirement...draft Slater or Leatherwood.

let the 2 Connors...Williams and McGovern fight it out for the OG spot.

How did he demonstrate that this season? He was actually a serviceable starting G.

He is best suited on the bench. He is not capable of starting and securing the pocket or moving large DT's in the ground game.

He pulls and moves well and can get to the 2nd level, but he has strength issues that the NFL exploits.

He got whooped tonight as he does sometimes. That being said, he's far from the worst OL. We can win with him in there.

He’s been solid this season, not spectacular. Certainly would love to keep him around for a good price if possible.

Why would any team move on from a player under a rookie contract that’s a starter quality player
Williams is not a great guard, probably wouldn’t be a great tackle either
But we don’t have 20 picks to replace all the guys fans want to cut lol

Plus he's playing with four backups

He’s not a great guard but he’s not as bad as some think and when he plays out some team will sign him
But this whole cut everyone theory some have is just crazy
If we cut everyone fans wanted cut we could sign our draft picks

If Connor Williams is the weak link on your oline, that means you have a really good oline. Overall he’s been solid this year. I’m much more concerned about getting healthy at T, and seeing improvement from the C position. Looney and Steele were the majority of the issues in the oline.

Definitely do not want to move on from him while he is still on his rookie deal, but I also want to see McGovern have a real shot to take his starting spot at LG.

I'd like to see McGovern beat him out in TC. Make Williams the swing guard. Biadisz will likely be starting next year. Assuming Smith and Collins come back healthy and this line is back to elite...until Smith gets hurt again...

Looney played pretty good at Center. Much better than Biadasz.

Connor Williams is a weak link at times. Constantly gets bullrushed 5 yards into the backfield and misses on his blocks at times as well during pass protection. Inexcusable to be getting bullrushed 5+ yards backwards right into your QB during pass protection when all you have to do at Left Guard is stay low with good leverage and simply block the DT LIGNED RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!

He gets bullrushed when he rises up too high at the snap of the football, thus losing leverage.

Once a situation becomes clear, Jerry does something about it three years later. Potentially longer.
