Williams has demonstrated time and time again that he doesn't possess the strength to handle the guard position by consistently getting manhandled by Defensive Linemen.
He may be better suited for Right Tackle due to not having to go against interior linemen who can push him around over and over. If not, then they need to move on or find a replacement at guard and make him a backup
He does not have the feet or arm length to play tackle. He is not Zack Martin.

If Connor Williams is the weak link on your oline, that means you have a really good oline.

Yet another epic bust, he might be the worst OG in football... But because he's from UT, everyone wanted to crown the clown.

Looney played pretty good at Center. Much better than Biadasz.

Connor Williams is a weak link at times. Constantly gets bullrushed 5 yards into the backfield and misses on his blocks at times as well during pass protection. Inexcusable to be getting bullrushed 5+ yards backwards right into your QB during pass protection when all you have to do at Left Guard is stay low with good leverage and simply block the DT LIGNED RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!

He gets bullrushed when he rises up too high at the snap of the football, thus losing leverage.
Looney gets way too much crap around here. Solid player....preferably a backup though.

Williams is one of those privileged guys that is going to play no matter what. That's how it is in Dallas.

Jerry's team.

Just move on.....he is what he is....2nd round bust. He's just not strong enough to play G.....Giants front 3 was just toying with him today.

I would have loved to see connor williams get a shot at tackle. The kid coming out of college was built to play tackle. Big, athletic, light on his feet. But because his arm length was 1/2 inch short hes put at guard? Hes already too tall for the guard position and hes too light in the butt. Maybe they finally put him at swing if mcgovern wins the starting lg job. His strength and leverage are his weaknesses and they put him at guard with big strong guys that are not 6'6" and are capable of using better leverage inside

Have to admit he is a total bust. No point of keeping him. The eye test and the numbers dont pan out.

Hes way too weak for the NFL and after 3 years you would expect the nutrition and strength program to come trough.

His T-Rex Arms and small shoulders wont help either.

The O-Line needs overhaul. T-Smith seems to be done too. Cant count on him playing more than 50% of the games and Martin and Collins start to pick up injuries too.

if he sucks at OG...no reason to believe he won't suck at OT.
if Smith or Collins aren't ready or there is a out of no where retirement...draft Slater or Leatherwood.

let the 2 Connors...Williams and McGovern fight it out for the OG spot.
Linemen should be at the top of the draft list for the team......interior linemen and then an OL. The Cee Dee-type pick will not help this year.....just maybe there was a reason Cee Dee was still on the board too. And if the draft pick is slow footed....stay away. The FG Whisperer has fooled a lot of people, mainly at The Star.

Williams has become a respectable starting LG. Better than average. Still has problems with power and quickness off the snap.

I always thought Williams was more suited to T, but he's good but not very good LG now, and is unlikely to be better at T than Collins or Smith. I think he's our LG.

Next year it's a competition between Biadasz, McGovern, and Williams for LG and C. McGovern was looking a clear cut above Biadasz earlier in the season, but he fell off toward the end.

The reality seems to be that Connor Williams is what he has always been. If everyone is being honest with themselves and not trying to justify their initial love of the draft pick they will admit that he just isnt good enough. We don't run the ball to his side. He isnt opening any holes in the running game. The best we can hope for with C Williams is for him to hold up most of the time in pass protection or maybe pull and use his mobility on some sweeps. He is just not good enough at his position.

The problem we have is we have one of the worst defenses in the league so we will need to just work around Connor or McGovern while we fix this mess of a defense.
We will get Lael, Martin, and T Smith back next season. I just don't think we have the resources to spend on the offensive line when your defense is historical garbage.

if he is just penciled in as starter next year, it will tell you a lot about this staff ....

hes fine when the OL has its starters around him, far too many 3rd stringers busting assignments and also getting pushed around to see 52 is the weak linl..

my bet Cwill and McGovern compete in training camp for LG

Ts-Cwill/Mcgeovrn-Biadasz- Martin-LC

thats 2021 line

backups Looney, Knight, Erving and steele or one less of these guys and you have the loser at LG battle be the backup C\/G for game days

thats the one that gets the run game going and gives the Qb more then 2secs against the better DLs..

the OL will be strength the offense will be strength

Sts were good

2021 will be what can we do with the defense..these worries about 52 is stupid..sorry we have bigger fish to fry..
