Move Tyron back to RT.

I can see where you're coming from, and I too believe that he will be a great LT one day, and that of course is what the organization hoped for when they drafted him. I think the fact that switching him back to RT is even being brought up this soon is ridiculous, but now that we've lost one game I can see that anything and everything about our team is getting called into question around here.
yeah it's ridiculous but i understand all the angst. a lot of fans (even the skeptical ones) really bought into the changes in culture this offseason. the fact that they reverted back to their old selves within 2 games of the season beginning has legitimately disappointed and shocked a lot of the fanbase.

That's a new one. I'm Austins nephew now. I actually am looking at attending Monmouth because it is a really good school and not too far :laugh2:. I want to go away but stay close, major is accounting. Looking Binghamtom, Monmouth, NYU. 4.0 GPA in community college, and schools don't look at my atrocious 3.1 in high school since I have enough credits from CC. - what was Ware to say? No he is better at RT or Na i've been killing him during practice. Ware had to say that.

Smith has shown us on the field he is not up to par as a LT yet. He is only 21, he may be doing great by the end of the season.

Well, according to some, the season is already lost, so let's just ride it out then. And Ware didn't have to say what he did just to blow smoke up everyone's butt.

“The crazy thing about Tyron is he’s the first guy that when you lock up with him, you can’t get off of him,” Ware said on KESN-FM, via the Dallas Morning News. “He’s the first guy to ever do that to me. That shows the strength he has and how quick he is on the inside. He’s a very good, young aggressive tackle. When you try to beat him inside, you can’t. He’s just that athletic. Cowboys fans don’t have anything to worry about. He’s getting the job done and working hard.”

Tyron Smith is going to be a great left tackle, I am sure of it. He is only 21 and has plenty of time to develop his game as well as his body.

The one thing I have heard multiple times in this thread is that Tyron Smith was one of the top RTs in the NFL last year. It was my impression that quite simply that he had a <good> year for a rookie RT, but not certainly great by any measurement. I believe he allowed 8 sacks.

Am I wrong? Maybe 8 sacks is ok for a right tackle and that's why I keep seeing people post how great he was last year.

It seems more and more that I regret ever having clicked on the link to the CBZ. It is like an asylum in here nowadays.

Awesome, lets take Free who's been struggling this year and bring him back to facing guys like JPP and Julius Peppers.

Other than getting the plays down and adjusting to the flipped view (which he should be far done with) the two tackle spots are the same. Tyron is going to have to struggle a little bit, the guy is so young he can hardly buy a beer!

There is a distinct lack of participation by balancing posters since Sunday. It seems a little purposeful, but perhaps I'm reading too much into it.

Let him develop and you have a stud LT for years to come.

Or, get antsy and have a fat question mark at that position until the team either pays for one in free agency or sucks enough to get a high enough pick to draft one.

Lets see........I'll take the first one for $1000, Alex.

It is on purpose. Some of them acted high and mighty after the Giants game and the team proved them wrong. Most don't want to take their medicine.

switching after 2 games is stupid. If at the end of the season he still not cutting it at LT then by all means go after Brandon Albert, who I want Dallas to go after anyways to play LG, or Jake Long or if LT is BPA in the draft when Dallas picks then do that and either trade Free or move him to RG.

Lets give Smith some time at LT to settle in and get used to playing the position, He is still a very young player and very raw. I think he will get alot better as the season goes along.

Throughout college he played RT. Last season he played RT. What works works, sometimes there is no logical explanation for things. If he is better at RT let him be a RT, and right now I am willing to bet he is better at RT.

I guess you have never heard of a guy named Matt Kalil, 4th overall pick in the 2012 draft, that played LT for USC while Tyron Smith was there as well.

Anyone that has ever swtiched from driving on the right side of the road to the left will tell you that it takes a little bit of time to become fully allclimated and comfortable. My take is that it will take him some time.

Tyron hasn't played LT in a long time...

Rust is expected. That said, he went against JPP on his first game and dealt with a good DL rotation in Seattle.

He's got the tools, but you can't expect him to be all-pro on his first season playing a new position..

He is 21 years old as well... Everything about him is in the process of maturation, just give him time.
