Movie Channels on Cable

IMO, they would be much better if they were merely set up by Genre...

1. HBO - Comedy
2. HBO - Action
3. HBO - Romance
4. HBO - Drama
5. HBO - Suspense
6. HBO - War
7. HBO - Western
8. HBO - Horror
9. HBO - Sci Fi
10. HBO - Martial Arts
11. HBO - Classics - all movies pre-1970
12. HBO - Foreign
13. HBO - Family
14. HBO - Teen
15. HBO - Children
16. HBO - Sports - events, movies, and shows
17. HBO - Specials (shows like Entourage, Flight of the Conchords, Tru Blood, etc, concerts, etc.)

Do the same for Showtime, Starz, Cinemax, etc.......

I think this would make it easier to find movies you want to watch, as well as get more for your money, if you are paying for movie channels.

Too bad Encore doesn't have any "good" original series.

All those channels are obsolete now as far as I'm concerned. Demand channels are where it's at. HBO on demand, Showtime on Demand, etc etc. They always have all the latest episodes of all the best series, and are running all their current movies there as well, available to start and watch whenever you want.
