They can remake anything and it will not upset me. I might think they're stupid for many of them, but nothing will be ruined and I'll still be able to enjoy any original that I liked before. If they remake something and it sucks, oh well. If they remake something and it's good or even better, then great.

I don't really see a problem with it.

True, Charlie and the chocolate factory didn't ruin Willy Wonka. It did ruin my respect for Tim Burton though.

Interesting, it raised my respect for Burton (not that I had much to start with). Expected to hate it and enjoyed it quite a bit. Though thinking back, it was probably Depp I liked more than anything Burton did. Definitely enjoyed it more than the old one. I never liked that even when I was a kid.
