MSNBC ranks Dallas #22 Team of the Decade

We anticipate an avalanche of e-mails on this one, but Dallas’ body of work is unimpressive. The Cowboys started the decade with Troy Aikman still behind center, but they lost 11 games three straight times under Dave Campo. They have been solid since Bill Parcells showed up, but haven’t won a playoff game. Their excellent 13-3 squad in Wade Phillips’ first season was the only standout team, and the Giants upset them. Jerry Jones may lead the league in headlines, but his team has been ordinary.

Kinda hard to argue with them, though. This decade hasn't been kind to the Cowboys' faithful...

Can't really argue here. Hopefully, Dallas will end the decade with a plus .500 overall record.

My how the mighty fell. SF at 27 is an eye-opener too.

I like us rising though, but you really have to lay that low rating at Jerry's feet. The hole was dug due to terrible drafting after Jimmy and poor hiring and lack of power for the HC. He could had a GM or given up more control to a coach/GM for all of those years and most surely we would have been up there with the top teams. But that's hindsite and I am assuming that he is learning at least somewhat.

Its hard to start from scratch again after you were a dynasty.
