multi-player xbox360 shooter genre games

I am hoping this is the place to put this question.

I'm looking for a 3 or more game that I can play. Here's the only criteria, I need to find one that I can play all on the same screen. I don't have xbox live, so a split screen option with 3-4 players is what I'm looking for.

Seems most are of the two person variety. The ones that offer more than two players are via system link or xbox live. Does anybody know of any 360 games that would allow multiplayer on the same screen?

Halo 3... Heard Ghost Recon 2 does the same... I was thinking Vegas 2 but I'm thinking that might only be 2 player tho.

I've been looking for some co-op campaign games. Seems like there is a real shortage of them for the 360.

No need to go any further. The new battlefield MIGHT be worth checking out....but the last one was far better online than on campaign.

BTW... some of the most fun I've had on a splitscreen shooter was on COD 4 in that really small map with all the cargo containers -- I forget the name of the map.

Our rule was knives only. No guns, grenades, airstrikes, choppers, etc. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. It helped that I was decent at it. Had I been losing, I would have been pissed.

COD 4 doesn't have a co-op mode, unless you go online, and even then it's just one map at a time. Not a co-op story mode. But the next COD (World at War) is supposed to have it.

COD4 is for me, atleast, the most fun playing single player online. Halo 3, on the other hand, is absolutely amazing getting 4 people playing split screen on a big tv on Xbox live. Halo 3 is made for you and your friends playing together against other people. I will add a disclaimer saying I dont even like Halo3 that much, but when friends are over, its the only choice.

i think Rainbow six vegas 1 and 2 have local co-op, thats a great great tatical game
