Murray is gone because the top RB prospect is available

Not only the money, but the top RB prospect will be available.

Also, Randle is a clown and a dummy. Anyone in line for a promotion who gets arrested again, cannot be depended on.

Bye bye, and take care. Hello Ryan Williams, congrats on your promotion!

And there's a real good chance with the injury, that Gurley is going to fall right in the Cowboys lap. He is the second coming of Beast Mode. A can't miss RB prospect that will step right in where Murray left off. The draft is deep at Oline talent and DE's. Every mock I've seen has him falling to the bottom of round 1.

If Gurley was, by far, the highest rated player on my board when it came time to pick I would pull the trigger.

I can't call anyone coming off a blown knee as a can't miss prospect.

I also have an issue with the issues we face on defense, blowing a first round pick on a TB.

I would be ok with Gurley at 27 if they think he's that special.

There are two ways Dallas can do this:

1. Sign Murray and then draft DL help

or

2. Let Murray go, spend that money in Free Agency on DL help and draft a replacement for Murray.

I'm ok with either one actually. I'd rather the big money be sunk on the DL than at RB, but I really like Murray so I won't complain if they resign him.

IMO, they just need to take the BPA at 27, and if it is Gurley then I say go for it. That guy just might be something very special.

Pass on Gurley unless he drops into 3rd.
RB coming off a knee injury in November. How much can he contribute and what will be his health come draft time, in his rehab.

Your option 2 would be good except I don't feel as if there will be any catalytic DE's left at 27 who could start game 1.
Jerry is not going to draft a DT in round 1 period as that won't satisfy the sexy mantra.
RB is the only choice when you figure that a special guy might probably be there at 27. You don't pass up the next
Adrian Peterson for a backup DE.

Can't recall his name, but Buffalo picked a sure can't miss RB coming off a serious knee injury, quite a while ago....he played decent after a few years of recovery, but never great. IIRC he didn't play great.
Yes, go defense , as there are other RB's later in the 2nd and 3rd rounds

I would be super surprised if Gurley made it to our pick in the 3rd... or if he even makes it to the 3rd at all.

Willis McGahee

That was a catastrophic knee injury though. Much, MUCH worse than Gurley's.

Are you seriously talking about Marshawn Lynch... That dude has been in beast mode for at least 3 years....

I keep hearing talk of us maybe taking Gurley at 27 if he's there.

I DO think he'll be there
I DON'T think we'd take him that high.

As of today CBS draft site has Gurley ranked overall #22 and a 1st round projection
Gordon is a #21.

I think Gurley slips also.
Other RB's in the 2nd round projection are Abdullah and Ajayi, and a few others.
But also TJ Yeldon is a 2nd to 3rd round pick. Seems some depth at RB in this draft.

I'm sure after the combines, these rankings may change though.
