Rumor had it he wanted a Charles type deal. I don't see him taking 4 year 16 million. He can get easily 4-5 year and 6-7 million somewhere else

That feels minimal. I'd doubt he'll go for that. I'm sure there will be a team willing to pay twice as much out there.

There's always some stupid team willing to overpay. If he wants to stay here, he will negotiate something reasonable. If he prices himself out of town, see ya!

Cowboys are low balling I don't think they want him back enough to break the bank... I don't blame them, he was obviously wearing down towards the end... this was his 1st season not missing games

Plus I just like the 2 back system better... little thunder and lightning lol

I remember the last time we had that. We drafted the complimentary back in the 1st round.
What an epic fail.

I sure hope they don't want to break the bank.

The dude just broke Emmitts record, played hurt, and carried us to the playoffs and is getting screwed.

He carried the team by himself? I thought it was a team game. The oline didn't have anything to do with it. He's not a fumbler.

Not getting screwed -- the Cowboys just can't afford him. It happens -- the salary cap is the great equalizer. After they sign Dez they'll have Romo, Tyron, and Dez all on $100m deals. Only so much money to go around.

He'll get a great deal from some other team. Hard to call that "getting screwed".

I'm not worried about finding a back that can fill the void left in terms of rushing yards production.

What I don't think will be so easy to replace is his pass protection and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

I think we may be undervaluing his ability as a runner as well, in terms of his ability to make 1 yard runs 2 or 3 yard runs, or negative runs 1 or 2 yard runs. We'll see though.

I think Murray will find the FA market to not be to his liking. I suspect he may regret not taking the 4 year $16M contract. The guaranteed money will be the key. And I don't see teams offering much guaranteed money to a back of Murray's caliber, running style, and injury history.

4 mil a year is an insult. I would at least offer 5.... He are we go with a flow of good riddance responses to this thread. We won't miss the stability he brought to our offense until he is elsewhere. This pisses me off.

I mean, Argument is definitely there for anyone being able to run behind this line, and his fumbles have cost us.
