In the vein of what would Jesus/Jimmy do -

There is no question that Murray can run the ball but his fumbles are going to kill us in a playoff game someday - if we get that far. Would Jimmy have tolerated these fumbles from Emmitt ? What would Jimmy have done ?

You can't take Murray out of the game the way he is running it, but for God's sake do something to address the fumbling. Make him carry the ball around all week or something. We get points there, we probably win.

Signing that guy long term is completely off the table until you have proof that he has fixed this problem. You combine that with the absolutely terrible blitz pickup last night and I'm not too enthusiastic.

Nothing personal... but count me as one who doesn't care what Jimmy would do. I only care about what Jason will do and evidently that is nothing, because you don't bench the league leading RB.

Did Coughlin bench Tiki Barber when he was fumbling all the time? Nope. Re-trained his handling. That's all you can do when you have a beast running for you.

I think he would have sat more if Randle hadn't fumbled too.

If it's me, I'm finding a way to bring up Ryan Williams to give me another alternative.

Deactivate Street who is useless anyway (anyone see one positive play when he's been out there?) and release Jack Crawford (who is hurt anyway) for the returning Lawrence.

We'll have a roster spot available if, in fact, Durant is going to IR.

Don't remember what years but I think ES had 7 fumbles one year and maybe 6 another year.

No one likes fumbles.

The guy is on a record pace.

The guy is why we are 6-2. If we let him run last night we are 7-1.

Jimmy would fix it before we sit him or not resign.

Get real people.

Of all the fumbles, I don't blame him for that one. He WANTED the endzone. He knew we needed it last night.

He gets a pass on that one. Now, fix it.

He doesn't get a pass from me, but I agree in principle with everything else you posted.

I wanted to post a similar reponse, Jimmy is gone and he not coming back. This is Jason's team and they need to figure out some sort of solution, but who cares what Jimmy would have done how does he impact this team.

When I say pass I mean for his effort. Only. I want that in our players. Can't get stood up like that. Wish it was a premature whistle like last week.

I don't give him a pass because his effort allowed the fumble to happen. Understanding when to give up on a play has to be a part of every carry for Murray. We've seen it before and now we see it again. Multiple defensive players are tackling him but he refuses to give up thinking one more extra yard is going to make a difference. It won't and leads to fumbles. There was no way Murray was going to score and it's on him to realize and understand that means he needs to go down and live for another play.

Jimmy knew when to play his best players and he would not bench Murray. He would put in extra work with him but you can bet your sweet *** that he would have never even thought about benching Emmitt in his hayday because he put the ball on the ground. The fact of the matter is that even with the fumbles it would be more of a detriment to not have him out there. Not only because he is a damn good back but because of how the defense has to account for him for every play that he is in.

Edit* And as WoodysGirl stated, he is not only running the ball well but his check down receiving yards are impressive as well which is why his all purpose yards are on record pace.
