Murray was the main reason we had a chance to win

Should we take Murray's best run away from his stats and call it ineffective again?!

I'm eating some serious crow on Murray. He's a better back than I gave him credit for earlier in the year. When the OL does their job, Murray's usually rock-solid.
you can say the same thing about most backs

Romo bailed no one out. It wad his/passing game fault we were even trailing at that point. Romo bailed Romo out with that throw cause without it, all I remember was the 2 TOs to start the 2nd half that got us down.
& 1 of them was by the FB who CAUGHT THE BALL from Romo, so I guess that's Romos fault as well. BTW, Romo THREW the ball to Murray, so I guess he gets ZERO CREDIT for that.

Well, I don't think you can take it away because it did happen, and he should get credit for it. But if you want to talk it about the effectiveness of the running game, you do have to take it into account.

I am not at all in favor of us being as pass happy as we've been, but I can also see what it is that I think the coaches are seeing and have been seeing: we're not good at running the ball when the other team knows it's coming.

I don't blame Murray for being stopped on that 3rd down play. That's the O-line and Clutts (sp.) fault. But I do blame Murray for running backwards. He should've just fell down.

And how many TOs do we have in the run game this season? Roll your eyes all your want, it was another TO via the pass in a situation when a run would have been fine. As for the TD, I give Murray just as much credit for that one because he had the presence of mind to leak UP THE FIELD after handling his blocking duties. DRAW ON CREDIT DESERVED!

He only had 11 carries going into the final half of the 4th quarter. I was surprised to see them run so much when they were down.

Like I said, when we went to the run after the 2 opening 2nd half TOs the game changed. It's sad he only had 8 at half. When will THEY (Garrett/Romo/Callahan/Joneses) learn?!

He's a better back than earlier in the season. He's lookinhg for space rather than trying to break free in the line.

Yea, because he was looking to get tackled as soon as possible early in the season. He's the same back that he was in week one when he got 86 on 21 carries (4.3YPC,) week 3 when he got 175 on 26 carries (6.7 YPC) and week 4 when he got 70 on 14 carries (5.0YPC). The only difference is the coaching staff reluctantly sticks with the run late in the season.

You gave Murray credit. We already knew that. Where's Romos credit? Nowhere. As for turnovers in the run game this season, are we talking about the SEASON or THIS GAME? Because if we are talking THIS GAME, bringing up that other garbage deserves another

Oh & Murray had 3 shots to RUN THE BALL in the endzone & LOST YARDS. I'll give Murray credit. He played big for us today but to act as if HE is the "MAIN" reason why we won today, you'd think he hiked the ball to himself, handed it to himself & passed it to himself the entire game.

Romo did what he is paid to do, hit a wide open receiver 10 yards down the field vs no blitz. Does he deserve more share for doing just that? As for the run game TOs, I'm talking about this season and this game because they are non-existent PERIOD. WE HAVE NONE this year that put us in position to have a 14-6 lead turn into a 23-14 deficit. WE ARE A BETTER RUN TEAM THAN PASSING TEAM AND HAVE BEEN ALL SEASON!

He was a contributing reason but its not like he had a monster game.. We stayed fairly balanced and made plays at the end to win.. The play of Terrence Williams was huge, Romo buying time when the Skins got a free rusher and the D came up big a few times for once.

Team win. Murray does need the ball more. I wish we still had Dunbar for the change of pace back.

Romo is paid to WIN games. Thats what he did. Murray is paid to WIN games. Thats what he did. Why devalue one player ( who is just as responsible for the win ) to pump up the other? Hell, even the defense ( to an extent ) stepped up, after we retook the lead. None for them either?

NO I'd think as I've always thought this season, this team is better when Romo throw 30 times or less and Murray carries it 25 time or more. Kinda like today. He lost yards, not the ball unlike Romo who did both today. Murray and Dez make this offense go not Romo.

He was the main contributing reason we were even in the game and won it. If the play-calling stays the same, we are in a better position to win next week. If we go Romo heavy early and often per the usual, we are gone fishing before the tournament even starts.

I also will say, this last month or so has probably saved Murray's job as the starter. I honestly don't think he's an elite back but has been good enough when healthy so that we don't really have to look for a guy in the second round next year.
