Murray was the main reason we had a chance to win

Great as in great? Like HOF great? Like Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, John Elway, Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning SB WINNING QB great?

Embarassing that you dislike Romo so much, for whatever reason, that you can't see how good he is.

And embarassing that you have to put words in my mouth to make your point, .. pretty sure I never mentioned the HOF, nor compared him to Aikman, Staubach, Elway, Montana, Brady, or P Manning.

But I will say that I think he is as good as "SB WINNING QB" Eli Manning.

Listen, lots of people look to find every little thing that Romo does and pick at it to find fault, .. not just you.

But I just found it hilarious and embarassing for you that you went so far as to blame him because the fullback fumbled, ... because he had thrown the ball to him. LOL

This is just where you can keep your opinion of Romo, and I will keep mine.

I didn't put anything in your mouth, you specifically called Romo GREAT! So I was wondering, hence all of the question marks. What type of great is Romo? Is he HOF great or any of those other greats that I mentioned?! Splain yoself on how Romo is great pimp! Never said you compared Romo to those other QBS, but they are the true meaning of great and I want to know how you can put Romo without comparing them in the same category of great as these guys. You make yourself look bad and embarrassing by hanging from his short and curlies and by calling a someone that hasn't accomplished squat GREAT!

Explain GREATNESS for me once again?

This is probably one reason we don't agree, and never will. LOL!

I should not have to explain greatness for you.

Every QB that won a Super Bowl is probably not great, .. and there have been several what I consider great QB's that did not win a Super Bowl.

If you are using that as your sole measuring stick of an NFL QB then that explains a lot to me.

K. Anderson, D. Fouts, F. Tarkenton, J. Kelley, W. Moon, D. Marino are all QB's that I could think of that I think are great, but did not win a Super Bowl.

If Romo never wins a Super Bowl, .. he would be in that group to me.

Winning a Super Bowl is a team accomplishment.

I hope someday you will see just how good Romo was for us. If you don't realize it until after he is gone, .. shame on you.

I am going to toot my own horn here for a while.

I said back pre-training camp that for this team to flourish, they need to be balanced. Take all the responsibility for winning off of Romo and find a running game that will succeed.

This is not a knock on Romo. This was a suggestion that a balanced attack would keep the other defense on their heels no knowing what was coming next.

It took Ginger, the boy genius most of the season to come to this conclusion.

Now I am not saying i am smarter than Garrett, or know more about football.

What I am saying is this game is pretty simple if a fat old man in Texas can see the wisdom of a balanced attack and not the constant air assault that gets this team into trouble.

When they have to move closer to the line of scrimmage because Murray is gashing them, then all the skills Romo has become even more potent.

I do not believe Murray won the game the other day. I think Romo led the team to the victory. Even with the pick, he refocused and would not accept defeat.

But Murray is a HUGE part of this offense, and if someone who was gifted the job of head coach would pull his head out of his butt and look, he has an offense that can win games if the play calling is balanced.

Sorry for being an I told you so, but this is pretty damn obvious and a long time coming.

You did not ask me, but please allow me to answer.

He isn't the most accurate, fastest, lethal in the running game, brightest or best QB going.

But he takes the skill set he has, keeps a cool head, finds the spaces in the defensive rush, and manages to lead a team with maybe the worst defense I have ever seen, and a sketchy passing offense in regard to is receivers, and wins games.

Does he try too hard at times and this causes errors in judgment or a misplaced pass?

Yep.

I will not say he hasn't had the right team to win. He did in 07.

But if he had a GM that understands talent, and a head coach who understands the game of football, and a defense that is top six, I'd take Romo into battle against anyone.

Because all the guys you can point to that are greatness, all have those components going for them.

Most people misunderstand my position on Romo. I think he is a great quarterback. And trophies are not what makes a quarterback greatness.

Sorry I spouted off. But your assessment of him is misplaced.

All teams need to be balanced in order for them to succeed.

Except Denver. That is all.

I agree with most of everything you said. Murray IMO was the player of the game because he brought a hard nose mentality to the game that was infectious. That's the mentality will be us over the hump, not this finesse air it out at all cost mentality. We are finally using ALL of our weapons and not just the receiving ones!

No need to apologize. I respect your honesty. I have mentioned on several occasions that I think Romo is a SB caliber QB but only if he has a pitch count. I do not trust romo leading us to the ultimate of winning with his arm. Getting romo a committed rushing attack is his best friend.

I also can not call a QB great that has one playoff win, 0 NFC championship appearances/SB Appearances great. I just can't put him with those guys right now.

Preciate your take, we just differ on greatness as well! No offense taken and I look forward to agreeing and disagreeing with you in the future pimp!

Okay, I see your point. He has to earn the greatness title with you.

I agree on pitch count. Murray should run the ball 20-25 times a game and take less of the focus off Romo.

Balanced attack is what makes both Murray and Romo better.

Oh & Murray had 3 shots to RUN THE BALL in the endzone & LOST YARDS. I'll give Murray credit. He played big for us today but to act as if HE is the "MAIN" reason why we won today, you'd think he hiked the ball to himself, handed it to himself & passed it to himself the entire game.

2 tries from 1/2 yard line didn't get the ball in, that's not good, both on OL and Murray. Any stout OL should make it happen . And RB should go over the top and get it across the plane.
