Per CNN
Another big loss. It seems everyone is dying!
YOu said that rightAnother big loss. It seems everyone is dying!
Yeah! But, please, a little more SLOWLY!Psst.. you're right. Don't tell anyone but everyone is.
Yeah. That was very telling. I wondered at the time...how long he had.Ya! He kinda gave everyone a little heads up when he put out a press release a few weeks back saying something like he's in good spirits and grateful for all love he's receiving from his HOSPICE room!
You seldom walk out the front door after checking into one of those.
Always loved midnight rider and that " hello Mr. Bluebird" song
Sometimes when I used to get on a whiskey binge in public, I'd go to this one bar and drop about $10 in the juke box and play " tied to the whipping post" continually ,,,,the bar tender would unplug it after she couldn't stand to hear it another time,,,
( it was a pretty cool bar ,LEE MARVIN used to drink in there,,no joke.)
Lee Marvin was a great actor !!!! Did you ever talk to him ???Ya! He kinda gave everyone a little heads up when he put out a press release a few weeks back saying something like he's in good spirits and grateful for all love he's receiving from his HOSPICE room!

God bless him. My kinda guy.I know!
No! He didn't talk to anybody ,he'd drive some old late 60's p.o.s. ranch pickup truck, dress like any other desert rat , sit at the end of the bar and drink whiskey, he didn't want any attention or put up with it either.
As I was looking back at the Allman Brothers' music, I was struck by the fact that there were so many powerful singing voices in rock music in the early 70's. In addition to Allman, you had Jagger, Plant, Tyler, Paul Rogers, Joe Cocker, Bob Seger (Heavy Music/Ramblin Gamblin Man), Steve Marriot (30 Days in the Hole, I Don't Need No Doctor), and even Janis Joplin. The music was diverse and original. It was a good time to be growing up.
