I'll watch this game only because the Cowboys are playing. I'm curious to see how bad the Cowboys will spank the Titans.

The Titans are the new Texans ...but just a little more dangerous. No one wants to be 0-4, but that's exactly what I think will happens at the end of the day. They'll come to play, and will probably put up a valiant effort, but I don't believe they are a match for the Cowboys ...on either side of the ball.

While I don't think Bill Parcells and Co. will underestimate a desperate Tennessee Titan's team, realistically, the team is tied with the Houston Texans.

Should be a boring win for the Cowboys ... a win nonetheless. But I have been wrong before, taking into consideration the "any given Sunday" concept. I'll have my Hoagie and Bud at the ready just in case.

I'll see you soon (quote from Ike just before the Gun Fight at the OK Corral; in the Movie Tombstone).

Not really. You don't Vince Young today if it was a must win. They are playing for the future. Additionally, teams that will draft in the top 5 next year don't have any must wins this year.

Normally I would have said ...just what "bull" do you believe? But I'm not here to start a ruckus, besides, I have no reason to lie about this game.

Look, in all fainess, I never mentioned that I was rooting for either team! Read the post again. Since you brought it up, I'll plainly state that I couldn't care who won. But I honestly believe, and to my chagrin, the COwboys will be victorious in this game.

What's so hard not to believe? Cool out, I know you're excited, that's normal. We'll see what happens.

I dont think Tenn had much hope of making the playoffs this year, they know they are rebuilding. That is exactly why Vince Young is getting the nod, it doesnt make sense to have him sitting on the sidelines when he could be out there playing and learning.

Vince Young, or anyone else. You couldn't possibly believe that the Titans are'nt going into this game as competitors, wanting the win over the loss! Building for the future is a wonderful concept, but these players would live to have a confidence builder like knocking off a reputable team.

That makes sense. And the same concept could be applied to their entire team on both sides of the ball. Still doesn't mean they aren't playing for the win.

This is much more of a must win for the Cowboys than the Titans. Even if Tenn wins this one they arent gonna go to the playoffs. If we lose this one though...ugh

Do Tennessee even have a "must win" this year? They're a 4/5 win team.

I understand what yoyu guys are saying, but "must-win" situations mean different thing to different teams. For Dallas this is a must-win because it's a game that you are "expected" to win ...or you "should" win. I'm not saying it's a free-bee, (coupled with the fact that no loss is a good loss) but it is a game that if you lose, you'll regret it much more than games agaiNst equally matched teams. If the Cowboys lose, they are 2-2 in the NFC-East.

For the Titans it's a must-win, simply because

- they need demonstrate that they have the potential for future wins
with their current roster

- their coach wants to keep his job

- Gee whiz ...what NFL team wants to be 0-4?

Vince Young is not an NFL QB. He will throw several picks and quickly realize that you can't play Superman against NFL defenses. Dallas wins by 3+ scores.

Also something to be said about how bad Ike was talking to Wyatt when he was tryong to take back one of his men ...Wyatt took two strps and stuck th point of his gun in Ike's forehead and said ..."your men may take me, but you'll go first Ike" ...onme of his men speculated that Wyatt was bluffing ...Ike said "he ain't bluffing" ...Wyatt said "you ain't as dumb as you look Ike."

It's Kilmer by a long, loooong shot. Just his understanding of the physical toll of 'consumption' (as TB was known in the day) nailed it.

Kilmer's one of the most under-rated actors around, and has a rep for being a pain in the arse for directors with his intensive role research, painstaking method approach, and expectations his fellow actors care as much about getting it 'right' as he does. He's a primo character actor as well as a Hollwooed lead.

Imo, in Tombstone, Russell was effective, but then, he never plays anyone but "himself."

It was Michael Beihn who rivaled Kilmer's performance, imo.

Oh yeah, football...Boys are gonna horsewhip Tenn.
