Let's not get ahead of ourselves.... Too early to tell anything really, teams are still working out kinks!

Lmao. Kinks? That's what you call 2 years of the same avg offense? That's a whole lot of kinks that take 2 years and 2 games to work out.

Doesn't take a crystal ball to predict that it looks like we're heading for another 8-8 type season.

You never know with this team. We may lose to the Rams and Chargers and then beat the Broncos............

I'd like to post a scenario of how I feel the remainder of the Cowboys season will go...

They will beat the Rams next week in very underwhelming fashion and then lose to San Diego putting them at a mediocre 2-2. Over the next 5 games, they will go 2-3, including a massacre at the hands of Denver.

At that point, they're 4-5 and the butt of ESPN and every other sports outlet's criticism. Week 10 comes along against a surging Saints team, a game that no one gives them a chance in, and they beat the Saints resulting in more "the Cowboys are for real" talk among the same analysts who wrote them off a week ago. They build off of the Saints victory with two more victories against the Giants, and the Raiders on Thanksgiving (which will be decided on a last second field goal).

Cowboys are now 7-5 and right at the top of the NFC East.

The Cowboys are on a roll, they just beat a very good Saints team and put two gritty victories together against the Giants and Raiders. Everyone says that this is finally the year that the Cowboys live up to their potential (just like last year, and the year before).

Next up are the Bears, Packers and Commanders for weeks 14, 15, and 16. The Cowboys, with their new found confidence and momentum, naturally go on to lose to the Bears and Packers. They narrowly escape a Commanders team in week 16, placing them at 8-7 in a "win and they're in" scenario for week 17 against Philly (who also can claim a playoff spot with a win)

Philly wins the game in either two ways; a repeat of the 44-6 whopping that they gave Dallas in 2008, or on a Desean Jackson bomb towards the end of the 4th quarter where Dallas' defense can't make a stop...

The Eagles are in the playoffs, Dallas is once again 8-8 and watching the playoffs from their couch; ripping out the hearts of Dallas fans everywhere...

We've all seen this before... Deja vu.

That's one hell of a crystal ball you got there...make sure you keep it in tact for next year so I can make some bets.

i got one right here for you

8-8

its like the guy who kept watching the same scene with the guy getting hit by the car, again and again
his friend asked: "why he was watching it over and over?"
the guy said: "that car has got to miss him one time"

when the movie ends the same way 3 times, chances are it will end the same the 4th

haha as soon as the preseason is over I'll make another season prediction before a game is even played. I'm hoping that a lot changes from now until then to make a more optimistic prediction.

about the only thing you got wrong was our D in the last game. Which frankly by the end of September that performance would have shocked all of us

I was wrong about the Denver game... it wasn't a massacre but it ended up feeling like it anyway...

The Saints game was the game I was completey wrong on. I picked us to win the Saints game because it seems like every season we end up beating a "qualitiy" contending team that makes everyone feel as if we're at that upper echelon of teams. It was the Bengals and Steelers last season, The 49ers in 2011,2010 was just a complete diabacle, but in 2009 we beat Atlanta and New Orleans to put an end to their undefeated season.

We never got that "quality win" this year. Closest game was the Broncos game, but it never came this year. We beat everyone we should have and lost to everyone we should have as well.

That was good, now that I know you see the future, please tell me, when does Garrett get fired? I'd rather know right now and not suffer through the consequences of keeping him :)

Pretty close. I'm glad Denver didn't blow us out, but you were spot on about 8 and 7 and then 8 and 8 and staying home AGAIN.
