That makes no sense other than he would have the same record 3 years in a row. Campo was all 5-11... Ill take 8-8 any day over 5-11.

It makes more sense than most people on this board. :muttley:

Aside from the 2010 debacle, Tony Romo has never had a losing season

2006: 6-4
2007: 13-3
2008: 8-5(pinky)
2009: 11-5
2010: 1-4
2011: 8-8
2012: 8-8
2013: 8-7
2014: 12-4
2015: 3-1

As long as number 9 is there, we have a fighting shot. Just wanted to spread some positivity here.

Another gem you forgot: TWO CAREER PLAYOFF WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blimey, is there no end to this great QB's greatness?????

Why? Does that get you into the playoffs? Does that give you a better draft pick? Does that even number somehow makes you feel better, lad?
8-8 is only good in soccer.

They were awful. They lost at home to some ridiculously bad football teams. Wade's defense got torched, and the players basically ignored him.

And this was coming off of 13-3.

That was Camp Cupcakes fault imho. If Parcells was here, we would've won a SB. The team got full of themselves, over confident, etc etc....then they started losing, then they just gave up .................that was a foul, foul season.... I may have skipped watching a few games......

now, Camp Cupcake redeemed himself, along with DWare proving everybody in Dallas was wrong, including me.(I thought he was done).............

I still think we win a SB in that year or the next with BP running things...........

I like positivity too....especially among fans. And I go through bad and good days....

But , honestly. I think the last thing this organization needs is "Positivity".....

From FO down to the water boys.... They have all failed, and should all worry about their continued employment in Dallas. The mood should be dark and grim and down.

I don't want to see "joking around" or monkeys in the locker room or even a smile.....they are losers. From FO all the way down. Losers. And have been for quite some time.

Sure 8-8 can get you in the playoffs. It's done so plenty of times.

Nobody said they like 8-8. But of course it's better than 5-11...and especially in those odd years where it (or even 7-9) gets you in the dance. Ask Carolina about 2014.

Me, I prefer the 9-7 route, which, even reflecting a winning season, rarely gets one into the playoffs.
And, my dear bloke, as to Carolina . . . I wasn't there, didn't talk to her, didn't touch her!

Furthermore, I hate these days when 8-8 looks remotely good to us.

I'll take the 12-4 as recently as 2014, thank you.

It would just seem like a crime for Tony Romo to go out without a championship. It would be the perfect ending to the perfect football story.

Nobody wanted him. He went completely undrafted. He sat for three years as a quarterback, only coming out on the field to hold for field goals.

Other guys came in with higher billing...Testeverde....Bledsoe.....

Other young quartetbacks were given first opportunity, guys like Drew Hensen.

He bided his time....the preseason hero.

Then, his chance came. The rest is history.

Here is hoping that the last chapter will be his greatest.

That doesn't cut it. We only have like 4 playoff berths and 2 playoff wins with him? I know it wasn't all him but some of it was. Right know I don't want to hear any talk about qbs unless it's playoffs berth/wins and sb's. Because really good qbs find a way to make that happen.

Consecutive Qualifying Seasons
Top 10 in Passer Rating

(adjusted for era)
15 Manning (1999-2010, 2012-2014)
11 Brady (2001-07, 09-12)
8 Romo (2006-09, 2011-14)
8 Fouts (1978-85)
8 Young (1991-98)
7 Rodgers (2008-14)
7 Dawson (1962-68)
6 Griese (1971, 73-74, 76-78)
6 Tarkenton (1972-77)
6 Baugh (1940-45)
5 Unitas (1963-67)

Because he did not have enough attempts to qualify in 2015, Romo's streak is still active (and it's the only active streak).

Dallas Defense
games in which Romo has played less than a half, since 2006

0 takeaways W 0 L 10
1 takeaway W 2 L 7
2 takeaways W 1 L 4
3+ takeaways W 4 L 2

Even when we get 1-2 takeaways in a game, we're 3-11 without Romo.
