Colombo's legs so more than their far share of injury and his legs were done. Free has been fortunate with a couple of sprains and stuff but nothing major.

My worst fear is clowns, crazy people and the police raiding my house. I'm okay with Free starting Sunday.

Exactly and could we please stop comparing everything to the past. This is not 2007, 2009, 1992, 93, etc. If Free is healthy enough to play he'll play and plus he has played coming back from an injury THIS SEASON.

How about Free returns renewed and picks up where he left off, which is far more likely,,, and that 09 OL got schooled across the board against Minnesota, not just Free. This current OL as a unit is head and shoulders above that 09 OL. After that game Jerry vowed to fix that freaking OL and he followed it up by all but ignoring the OL. Sam Young in the 6th round,,, really?

My guess is he won't play until he can practice and coaches can get a look at his effectiveness and how he's moving.

Anyone remember 09?

My worse fear is Free tries and rushes back like Colombo did in 09 and gets whooped in the divisional round. Parnell has been playing fine and he shut out Kerrigan last week. I think they should just leave Parnell in . Thoughts ?

Pretty sure the coaches will make sure Free is ready if they want him starting over Parnell. If not, Parnell starts.

regardless of who starts, I am glad that there is a starting quality swing tackle ready to step in (again) if Free can't go...I still think that Free is better when healthy, but of all of the positions on the team, Parnell might be the best back-up currently on the active roster....

I thought I read somewhere on Twitter that Free also has bone spurs in either his ankle of feet. If that is the case, he may be dealing with two issues, a possible sprain and the spurs. He seems pretty tough, so it must be pretty bad if he isn't playing. I trust in Parnell to play his best for the playoff run, and I am hoping with all of this experience Parnell will nail down the right tackle position and we can let Free walk. Free has been a good player for us, but I would rather see him walk then throw a lot of money at him.

Colombo wasn't the issue in the '09 game. In fact, we ran the ball really well. It was when Flozell got injured and then we had to move Free to LT that things started to collapse. And the defense couldn't keep up with the Vikings offense which was making some incredible plays.

Unlike then, if Free returns and does poorly you'll still have Parnell to insert into the line. I feel confident about that.

Dallas is in better shape, if Free gets off to a poor start they can put Parnell into the games. In 09 not only did Colombo have problems but Flozell went down so we became weak very quickly at Tackle

Not sure how we're in better shape this year, the equivalent would be Free having problems and then losing Tyron, forcing Parnell to LT. That would be pretty darned bad, I think.

Maybe because if it got down to that you have Martin who played RT for the past 2 seasons at ND. I think Dallas is just better equipped along the OL than what we have been in a while

If Free is 99%, then they should start Parnell.

If Free is 99% he will be playing. Parnell has done a good job in the eyes of this team Free is the better player. If Parnell has to come in I trust he will do his job
