My first thoughts on the game

Here are things I think without watching a second time.

Bledsoe's INT was rookie-ish. His receiver was decided before he even broke the huddle but a decent throw is still a TD. Glenn had the defender beat inside if the throw was perfect.

Watch the game again and tell me who Allen thought he was supposed to block on the sack that was negated. He should now be referred to as "last man standing" because ten times a game the other lineman are on the ground or engaged and he's standing in space.

Say what you will about Al Johnson, but Jones had the success he did because of him. The thirteen yard screen was a result of Johnson getting eight yards in front of Allen on the play despite both releasing at roughly the same time.

Gurode had the best game I've ever seen him play. I only spotted one serious mental lapse (Witherspoon sack 3rd quarter).

I've never seen a player have three sacks and three forced fumbles and receive less love from the announcers than Ware.

Smith's ejection didn't factor into the outcome at all. Newman made him his personal (B word). He might not have made the pro bowl but he still might be the defensive player of the year if the voters show any sign of intelligence.

Parcells has made four serious mistake this year. 1. Signing Bledsoe 2. Counting on Rogers to man RT 3. Rushing players back from injuries (Jones shows what he could have done if healthy, Henry playing vs. Detroit costing him the year) 4. Not having an adequate FS if Davis flamed out as he has.

I forgot to add that it looks like Parcells has addd 30-40 pounds this season. He looked almost Andy Reidsih.

He was a rather large man at the start of the year, but it looks like he's smuggling a pregnant Mexican across the border under his shirt now.

The Ware thing is the most glaring. If this was Merriman they would have annointed him the next LT again and reserved a place in the HOF for him.

I thought the announcers were giving Ware credit for the game he had. As much as he SHOULD have gotten? Probably not, but it's not like they were completely ignoring him.

Ya, they havent even mentioned Ware in any of the highlight shows, its pathetic. But they were ready to call Merriman the next LT last week after his game. Maybe Gurode is ready to be the future at RG, either way I am glad to see him play much better than Rivera has been.

Not getting a kicker ranks ahead of any of those.

Directly effected the outcome of 3 games. All loses.

I won't say that because their hands were tied on that one.

I still say that Bryant would be Dallas' kicker today if he wasn't injured in preseason last year.

There just wasn't too many decent options available, especially after axing Hoffman.

how was Bledsoe a bad signing? we invested squat in him

They invested a non-Super Bowl winning (more than likely) year in him. 16 games of experience. That's much more important than $$$.

Losing 10 games again is more painful than us winning 10. At least we have a chance this year as opposed to last.
