Justin Barialt ...

This guy can bring back the versatility in the safety position that Dallas thrived on when Woodson was here along side of Roy Williams.

This guy was making some plays last night and I think is our best option at FS.

Of course, I'll be accused of smoking crack. But he reminds me of Lynch a little. Big, hard-hitting safety.

I can almost assure you that Justin Barialt will start at some point this year at FS. Dallas doesn't even know what the term "ballhawk" means ...

They don't need no stinking ballhawk.

Thoughts?

But he's a natural SS. The last thing we need is ANOTHER year with a true SS running around lost at FS. :nono2:

OUCH...

I like him and Davis both. I think we will even see some other players better at coverage at FS in the nickle package if neither of these two step it up in coverage...... what about scott???? I haven't seen his name mentioned around here today....I think he's gone on the first cut...JMO

We don't need a "FS type" ... K.Davis sure isn't the exact FS type.

If the guy can hit and play the box as well as he was last night then who cares who plays FS or SS ...

If both Roy and Justin have the ability to hit guys and make plays like Berrialt was last night, then it gives us more versatility with the defense ...

If I'm Bill, I start Justin right next to Roy.

As much as I want to see BerryO on the field nailing guys, we really need a Free Safety that can cover deep. Having a free safety we can depend on in coverage will allow Roy to come on blitzes and shake things up. If we've got two bruisers at safety, we'll be running a big risk in coverage, I'd think.

Barialt showed some flashes last night. I think he's probably moved ahead of I. Reese.

He's always around the football and has a knack for making plays.

I know it's still early, but it now seems we've got two guys (Davis and Beriault) who both may end up being pretty good.

And to think a few weeks ago, there were some who said that our situation at Safety (other than Roy) was a "trainwreck."

What ever happen to the phrase "put your best players on the field" Reguardless what people say when we played two SS with Roy Lee and Woodson it worked pretty well. Why wouldn't it now, they both have had to cover at one time or another in their career.

BerryO is a rookie. A sixth round rookie at that. We're watching him play like this against backups, Seahawks backups at that. No one who's sane would start a 6th round rookie SS at FS because he "makes plays".

Lets just pick our 11 best players on the team and let them play both sides of the ball and special teams. If we've got 11 playmakers out there at all times, we can't lose!!1!!! ;)
