...or is it runners up ?

I think with Rayfield Wright in and several 90's players coming up for consideration, that we have seen the last of the 70's Cowboys honored with induction. I never saw Perkins (60's) and just barely got to see the last couple of years of Bob Hayes on the downside of his career. So here is to the next group of elite Cowboys from the 70's who almost definitely are not going in:

Cliff Harris
Chuck Howley
Jethro Pugh
Drew Pearson
Charlie Waters
Lee Roy Jordan
Harvey Martin
Ed Too Tall Jones

They are all as good as several players that have made it, and they gave us years of excitement. Hats off

They are all good players, but are they HOF Material?. If Swann is in because of Clutch catches, then Drew should be in, but Jerry should put him in the Cowboys Ring of Honor first!.

I agree with the ring of honor. I believe the voters look at that. If the player isn't good enough for the "ring", how are they good enough for the "Hall"?

Who is the only member of the ALL 70's TEAM not in the HOF?
Cliff Harris
I really liked him, but Jethro I think does not belong in the HOF. Waters is kind of a border line. Pearson should be in if Swann is. Howley and Jordan should also be in. Too Tall is another. Harvey was not flashy and that probably has hurt him.

Why is Bob Hayes not mentioned. The man should have been in the HOF YEARS ago!

If CArson can get in, Chuck Howley certainly should get in. I think it hurts Howley that he played on the same team with another great LB named Jordan, but in my opinion Howley is head and shoulders above Jordan and Carson.

I also think Drew Pearson may still get in someday. I don't see any of the others making it...not sure I even think they deserve it.

All of those guys should be in ROH (Howley and Jordan are). Harris, Howley, Pearson, and Jones should be in the HOF.
