3rd rd Johhnie Lee Higgins, runs a 4.3 forty with good hands

5th rd Tyrone Moss, backup plan if Jones catches the injury bug again.

william-gay.jpg

6th rd William Gay, underatted corner that could be a steal.

Looks good to me but this won't happen with Parcells at the helm. No LBs or TEs on day-1.

I personally would not say never, well unless it was a kicker :laugh2: , If we got someone that turned out to be as good as Larry Allen in his prime I would not be upset with taking that player, even if it was an OG, in the first.

However MOST of the time I would agree with you about taking an OG in the first when you can normally find them in the later rounds.

One thing I am having trouble remembering here.

The eagles got S. Andrews in the first, there was talk that Bill wanted to take him but the eagles got him before us.

Wasn't Andrews an OT in college? And now he is an OG that many consider to be a great OG.

Maybe I am really wrong in my memory on that one.

Why not? It's not like we're picking fifth. Guards and centers frequently get drafted in the 22 range.

I'm telling you guys this guy started at tackle for the Horns more than he did gaurd and he plays both positions equally well.

He could dare I say be a Larry Allenesque gaurd in the NFL and if you need him to play tackle, not a problem.

Draft this guy and our Oline problems are over.

Like who in the 5th?

Some knee injuries throughout his career really hurt him...

Could be like Frank Gore... Similar height but a little bigger

Blalock plays tackle and gaurd.
Honestly our oline has been our downfall and its time to get a true blue chipper who is a mauler at his position. We may have to trade up to secure Paul Soliai, we have two 6th rds and three 7th rds picks. Moss is my sleeper of the draft, IMHO he will be dominant at the next level.

Golden, I really like your mock. The only thing I'm not really sold on is Tyrone Moss. Even if Julius were to get hurt, we would be looking more for a runner that is a slasher/speed guy to give us a change of apce from what Tyrone would give us. Tyrone isn't someone who is decisive and has good vision combined with quick feet.

If I'm looking for a RB in the draft, I hope that Brandon Jackson is in the 4th-5th round. Yes, yes, I'm a Nebraska homer, but this guy is underrated as one can possibly be in this draft.

Biggems, I like your first draft as well. Getting Moss, Ross, Young, Soliali and Robison would be FANTASTIC.

From what I have read about Robison in Shrine Bowl practice reports, he is just mauling competition and really shining. May not let him be on the board that late.

Very good draft but Blaylock, Spencer, and Solia might not be there when we pick. Spencer and Solia from what I hear are moving up the draft board but if the draft turn out this way, I would be very happy.

I think it's more likely we draft Spencer in round 1 and Blaylock in round 2. Blaylock doesn't seem like he'll play tackle at the next level, nearly everyone list him at guard, and he's the 3rd guard at best, behind Grubbs (Auburn) and Beekman (Boston College). Spencer on the other hand is going to shoot up draft boards, the pass rushers always do, the good ones atleast.
