Jack is my favorite player in this draft. I think he's going to be a superstar.

I see a lot of love going around for Jack right now...great talent...Yet, I don't see anyone concerned or questioning his season ending knee injury. Is there a concern? Think he is a very intriguing player, but at this point, I think the #4 pick is a little rich for a undersized LB coming off a season ending knee injury. He missed most of the 2015 season because of the knee injury. Do you think he can hold up in a Marinelli defense....year after year we watch these LBers take a beating behind this DL....

Jack looks more like a highly talented version of Bruce Carter.

I would love this draft, even not being a big fan of Jack, but I don't think Spence or Braxton last to those picks and I want nothing to do with Driskel.

And the comment about Gregory is laughable. The guy was hurt half the season and then had to rotate with Hardy. He's also on a team that only plays rookies when there are no other viable options. Tap the brakes. Give the kid another year before raising any alarms.

His knee issue is a non factor. The guy has been at the Fischer institute since like oct or nov rehabbing and training. Hes going to be ready for the combine.

Williams was the primary runner. I just dont think Collins would have seen much action. Maybe 6-7 might be harsh but because of williams injury Collins showed what he could do. Which he wouldnt have if Williams wouldve been healthy.

Carr go? Go look at tghe entire post again. Scandrick has proven for the past 3 yrs he is strong enough smart enough to start. And last yr showed he could play bigger than his size says. Remember the chicago game? Game ending INT. Guy has serious vertical

He's recovering from an ACL. Granted, he may have a full recovery, but I just don't like the depth at corner in your scenario.

But good job, nevertheless.

There is no better defensive pick for the Cowboys than Myles Jack. And that includes Bosa.

bos would be the worst pick at the top of the draft for Dallas. Because that would mean move Lawrence when hes found his stride at LDE. makes zero sense.

ReSignings:
Johnny Manziel QB, Kellen Moore QB, Lance Dunbar RB, Jack Crawford DL, Jeff heath S, James Hannah TE, Mackenzey Bernadeau OL, Kyle Wilber

FA Signings
Jeremy Lane CB,

Tender Ron Leary RD2 i can see a bottom RD2 team picking him up (DEN) same type of blocking scheme

Draft
Round 1
Myles Jack LB UCLA
Dynamic Lber who is a 3 down LBer and wouldnt even need to come off in Dime downs. He can be lined up in the slot the way Carolina uses Shaq Thompson. Dallas was looking at Thompson last yr too. Jack is a better Athlete and Lber bigger and can play all 3 Lber spots.

Round 2
Noah Spence DE Eastern Kentucky
Probably the best pure pass rusher in the draft. I think he could beat out Gregory and start. Gregory with zero sacks is alarming.

Round 2(DEN)
Austin Johnson DT Penn State
Great size and enough pressure up the gut to provide help for Crawford.

Round 3
Braxton Miller WR Ohio State
Playmaker and the type of guy Jerry is always looking for. If he has a good week at the SR bowl watch out for him on draft day

Round 4
Jonathon Williams RB Arkansas
If it wasnt for his early season injur Alex Collins would probably be a 6-7th round pick. Williams is the better pure runner and better rounded out player. Can pick up blitzes very well.

Round 4(COMP)
Miles Kilebrew S S Utah
Smart S who can play within the system Dallas has and follow the plan.

Round 6(OAK)
Jeff Driskel QB LA Tech
Develop could be a guy for the down the line or a nice backup.

Round 6(COMP)
Jordan Walsh G/C Iowa
Player who can play both spots and is probably a better C.

Round 6(COMP)
Kevon Seymore CB USC
Zone guy who is good in coverage. Plays a little too soft but will tackle.

QB: Romo, Moore, Manziel
RB: McFadden, Williams, Dunbar
FB: Clutts
WR: Dez, TW, Beasley, Miller, Butler
TE: Witten, Hanna, Swaim
OT: Smith, Brown
OG: Collins, Bernadeau, Walsh
C: Fredrick, Bernadeau, Walsh
OG: Martin , Bernadeau, Walsh
OT: Free, Green

LDE: Lawrence, Irving, Crawford
3Tech: Crawford, Irving, Crawford
1Tech: Johnson, McClain
RDE: Spence, Gregory

SLB: Hitchens, Wilber
MLB: Jack, Gachkar

LCB: Scandrick, Carr, Mitchell
RCB: Lane, Olotaye

FS: Jones, Heath
SS: Church, Kilebrew, Wilcox

It amazes me people pull for Manziel to come to Dallas. The guy can't get out of his own way. When you don't know where your QB is on sunday, that's not a good thing. He is the epitome of the word distraction. And Gregory was a rookie with a high ankle sprain. Giving up on him already is a little soon.

I dont think anybody is pulling for Manziel but some people myself included know Jerrys has a thing for him. And i like some thinkif he's available Jerry will get him.

Gregory wasnt injured the whole season. And still couldnt do much. And with the defense Dallas plays the more people you have the better. Alot of you need to get out of your emotions when reading posts.

The Gregory commentary is bizarre at this point, especially in light of the fact people were willing to write Lawrence off as well and he turned out to be our best defensive end it seemed.

Gregory had a high ankle sprain and even though he actually was back playing, I suspect his ankle was still not right. A buddy played in college and had a high ankle sprain and he played through it but it never got completely healthy until the offseason when he had months of no activity.

I love it. Similar to the mock I been working on. With jaylon smith injured, Myles Jack is the only defensive player I want to hear at 4.

How about a QB at 4 and Smith slides to us at 34?

Oh of course. I ment if we take a defensive player at 4 I would be disappointed if it wasn't jack. Didn't mean he's the only player I want at 4.

I think people don't realize Jerrah doesn't really run the show anymore. The torch has passed. He's like Ronald McDonald or Colonel Sanders. He's the face, but that's about it. His son has proven his ability the last couple of years to run things a lot better than his Dad. You think Hardy was a distraction? No way the Manziel circus comes to town.

Jerry will always run the show. He just has better people feeding him info. If you have noticed the main thing Stephen talks about in depth is contracts. Thats what he's in charge of. When he's asked about players he gives little answers. But in terms of contracts players and yrs he will go into detail. McClay is the guy who is in Jerrys ear. For good reason he's done a very good job the past few yrs. The only people who think manziel has no shot of landing in Dallas are the few on this forum who are lying to themselves.

It's impossible that Jerry might finally realize that Manziel is not worth the headache or that he'll be talked out of wasting his time with Manziel by McClay or Stephen?

I would rather have brissett than driskel, but other than that it's a very solid draft
