Laron Byrd. The guy flat out can catch the ball. Did you see his touchdown against the Fins? Have you seen his you tube of catching the ball from the jugs machine, first with one hand and then with the other.

Venus Fly Trap!!!!

I hope we find a way to keep him on the roster. He is a better target than the shrimp with the blonde hair.

I said this back before TC opened, Byrd would be the 6th WR, Boyd & Washington [at the time] to be on PS.
As I believe Byrd also plays ST's.

Id like to see the jugs machine video.
He does seem pretty good though.
It's going to be tough to lose some of these wr's.

I like him....I just don't think we are gonna be able to go w/ 6 wrs because our DL is a mess. If Jerry is serious about saving 5 roster spots for the DL that are gonna be inactive.....then your talking about keeping 12 DL on the opening roster @ the very least.

Bryant, Williams, Street, Beasley and Harris are locks. Harris solely because of his return ability. Byrd would be nice but I don't think he helps on special teams which he would need to do to have a chance at sticking IMO.

That "shrimp" with the blonde hair will be moving the chains this year. There's a reason undrafted you tube video star will be looking for work.

What is the reason? He catches everything thrown to him?

Well that shrimp can dunk the ball. So obviously he can get vertical if a pass is above him.

I'm a Beasley fan but he doesn't look like keeping on the roster compared to these guys.

He can get open quick but if he is contested at all for the football he loses.

I like Byrd and Newsome. If Byrd can gun then that'll help. Also play on KRs as well as punts. Not sure how he is running routes. He should take Romo out and buy the family a really nice dinner, take his garbage out, and etc.

He give us speed and elusiveness. That's what the coaches want.

The Shrimp has better hands then the Byrd and is harder to cover in the open field.

He gets zero yards after a catch,,, ZERO. He is too small to compete in this league.

He's definitely an interesting player. He's huge at 6-4, 220 and has 4.45 speed.

Jamar Newsome has also looked good in the preseason.

This is a year where the Cowboys should focus on keeping as much talent as possible regardless of the position. Is it really going to matter if they keep 3 DEs or 10? I'm just not seeing the guys competing for the final DE spot as high probabilities to be future NFL players; whereas, I think a guy like Byrd is likely to be in the NFL for awhile. I could easily see him develop into a #3 or #2 WR in a year or two.

If they do keep a guy like Byrd, they should make sure that he is signed for more than 1 year. There's no point keeping a developmental guy on a 1 year contract.

We are not playing school yard b-ball. This is pigskin football and the little guy is just too small.

If they keep 6 WRs the 6th one will likely be inactive. In this case it would be either Byrd or Street. Byrd is reported to be a really good ST guy, so it could be Street that is inactive.

Again, if the ball is thrown above him, he can get up. The guy can jump. Nothing to do with so called school yard ball.
