OFFENSE:
QB: Drew Bledsoe (He’s a great pure passer, not so sure on the short-mid range passes, but he’s a good passer, and should be able to complement his receivers in a good way.) B-
RB: Julius Jones (When he’s not injured and when he has good holes, he’ll go crazy. However, there are too many if’s in this equation. I’m starting to doubt whether or not he’ll be the RB we wished he would be.) B
TE: Jason Witten (Good catcher, his amount of play depends on the Offensive Line.) A
TE: Anthony Fasano (We’ll have to wait and see.) Incomplete
WR: Terrell Owens (As long as he’s not a turd, and as long as he doesn’t get injured, he’ll be a great asset to our offense) A+
WR: Terry Glenn (He’s proven over the past years to be injury prone, but he is a speedster, and if he and Owens stay healthy, Bledsoe should have a field day.) B+
LT: Flozell Adams (Parcells says he’s rusty, but Adams should be OK come regular season. Hopefully, he’ll be back to form. He’s atleast average to above average if he gets back to form.) A- considering he gets back to health
LG: Kyle Kosier (Didn’t seem to be great from his time in San Francisco and Detroit, but here’s to hoping he’ll play as well as our coaches think.) Incomplete
C: Al Johnson (Wasn’t very good last year, but supposedly he’s picking up weight, and seems to be getting better.) B-
RG: Marco Rivera (Over the years, Rivera has proven to be a Pro Bowl Guard, but injury hurt him this last season. Next season, we should see some improvement, but I don’t expect to see his Pro Bowl self.) C
RT: Rob Petitti (He wasn’t good last year, but I loved his resiliency throughout the season. He is supposedly picking up muscle. He should be much, much better come next year.) B-

Offensive Grade: Not including the two incompletes (Fasano, Kosier), I think this Offense will rank out at a B-/B. 83 rating (A- = 91, A = 95, A+ = 99)

DEFENSE:
DE: Chris Canty (He showed promise last year, and now he’ll be playing better because IMO, last year he was hurt by injuries.) B+
NT: Jason Ferguson (Last year, he didn’t show me what I thought we would be getting out of him.) B
DE: Marcus Spears (Showed promise like Chris Canty, will be better after one year’s offseason) B+
CB: Terence Newman (Had a breakout season last year, can only get better.) A+
CB: Anthony Henry (Was solid last year before he got injured.) B+
OLB: DeMarcus Ware (He was great last year, can only get better.) B+
ILB: Bradie James (Had a breakout year last year.) B+
ILB: Akin Ayodele (How will he fit in the ILB spot after being in the OLB spot in JAX?) Incomplete
OLB: Bobby Carpenter (Prospect some of us liked.) Incomplete
FS: Keith Davis (He wasn’t even average in coverage last year.) C-
SS: Roy Williams (He’s a great SS.) A-

Defensive Grade: Not including the two incompletes (Carp, Ayodele), I think this Defense will rank out at B/B+. 88 rating.

Tell me what you guys think. Thought I could do this to speed up this slow offseason.

Can't say that I disagree with too much here Dragon. Good job.

I might bump Bledsoe up to a B or B+ and Roy up to an A or A+.

Also think you wer'e a little hard on Keith Davis.

Not bad, but if C is average, then Petitti should probably be projected lower than a B-. Going from well below average to above average seems like too optimistic of a jump. The same logic would apply to Al Johnson if you think he wasn't good last year.

You are also missing many players who will undoubtedly share significant time with the "starters". Those guys will probably grade out at C's.

Thanks for the constructive criticism guys.

The reason I rated Johnson so high (maybe he isn't that high) is because, I believe he has the brains to play center, he just didn't have the bulk. After picking up 17 lbs, I think he has the bulk.

I loved the way Petitti didn't lose all confidence after that tough season. He has picked up alot of muscle, and lost alot of fat (from what I understand), and I feel very good about this next season for him. His bulk should make him alot better. One offseason can do wonders for a player, and Parcells himself said that Petitti is MUCH better than last year.

The thing about Keith Davis is, austintodallas, is that unless he gets alot better in the offseason (I haven't heard anything from Parcells), I'm gonna rate him a bit better than last year. Last year, I thought he made an otherwise great secondary look bad. Chiefs game for example.

Maybe Keith Davis isn't as bad as I say, but its a pity that the likes of Newman, Henry, and Roy can't make Dallas' secondary the best because of Davis...
