My opinion on Choice's limited role

I got a "theory" (lol, doesn't everyone?) but I think coaches are keeping him fresh for the end of the season. Right now our starting RB is banged up and the backup is also banged up. So why risk getting Choice banged up when we are running the ball well with Felix and Barber? Besides they are starting to get healthy again and the key for us to be successful in December is running the football. If Choice gets injured then it will absolutely be detrimental to the team because we know what he is capable of in Dec. I'd rather limp now with our current RBs and limit Choice until Dec rolls around.

Nice theory, but I don't think its because of that. Barber is being given carries because, he is the emotional player for offense. If he is running well and giving hits, he boosts offense. Felix, can ignite the offense at any moment. Choice is just a luxury, when all three are healthy.

These current coaches have a horrible record of starting players when they shouldn't and sitting players when they shouldn't. If there was some intelligent explanation for Choice not getting more carries when Barber obviously isn't 100%, I'd love to hear it. I just don't think there is one.

There's no reason at all both Barber and Felix shouldn't have gone to the bench at the start of the 4th quarter. None.

Maybe but Barber is the closer. So there is no reason to change that now, unless its last 3-4 minutes of the game, just like they did today with Choice.

i dont buy it.Its not like TC is a JAG.he can play and he can defintely catch the ball.he needs to get 10 carries a game.

Unfortunately, our most all-around RB, IMO, is getting trumped by a few paychecks in the running game.

Don't get me wrong, I like Barber and Jones a lot, but I think their salaries dictate their playing status.

I think we could do a better job of dispersing the carries, but there doesn't seem to be any attempt to get Choice more involved.

His first carry with 4 minutes left? I just don't get it.

Why in God's name would anyone come on here and ***** about this after a 21 point win?

Exactly.

There almost has to be something behind the scenes going on with Choice, doesn't there? Otherwise it simply doesn't make sense.

Wade even said after the Chiefs win that Tashard would get the ball more. He really talked him up, almost as much as Miles.

I just wonder if he's been late for meetings or something of that nature. Otherwise it just doesn't add up.

Follow the dollars. Same situation exists at WR.

My theory is that Barber is the better complete back. He picks up blitzes better than Choice and Felix. He's more physical than Felix and Choice. He's a better catcher than Felix and Choice. Just my opinion.

This doesn't hold water, because Choice played most of the 3rd downs in passing situations.

Choice is a very good blocker.

That's kind of what I'm thinking, that Choice may be in the doghouse for some reason.

It was a 4 TD game at that point. You don't see the Yankees bringing in Mariano Rivera in a 11-0 blowout.

Choice is a good back, and has shown he can run the ball effectively. If he can't "close" a 4TD game then why is he here? And is "closing" the game worth Barber perhaps tweaking the quad again?

Its just poor game awareness. And it worries me if Garrett really is in line for the HC spot.

Tc is the last person on this team who will do something like that.

You call Romo a "so-so" kinda guy with the hand gesture, you get benched.

Behold, the power of CowboysZone. :D

I'd think so, too, but then Butler is the same way and it happened to him.

Obviously I'm just guessing, because I can't think of a reason on the field not to play him.
