My Plate Of Crow

I absolutely hate Javonte Williams...for a completely trivial reason. He cost me a 300k bag on fanduel a couple years ago.

Anyways, I couldn't have been less excited about him coming to Dallas.

However, he has been balling out since day 1 and proving my JAG assessment of him completely wrong. He looks great in this offense and hoping he continues to do so.
Totally understandable. Reality is different than Personal Reality.

I know during training camp we all kept hearing that Javonte was the #1, and many of us thought it was premature, but having said that, I think it's obvious now that when all the running backs got their chance to show what they had in the tank, Javonte was a man amongst boys. Let's not forget, not long ago, he was known as one of the better guys in the league before injuries and team struggles.

JW is proving a lot of people wrong, Shotty was right about this guy and I'm glad we got him and he was the FIRST guy shotty wanted.

It's now in the gambling depths of hell with other recent Cowboys successes like the dude who took the over on sacks by Mazi Smith.

I never thought he was a JAG player, especially with the hype coming out of college. He just got delt a bad hand in Denver.

He has probably had one of the best returns a player has had from injury in a very long time
He was terrific in Denver before he got hurt. He just took forever to get healthy.

A few years ago, he ran roughshod on Dallas when he was there.

Dang he looks good. Probably my favorite player right now. Dude just runs hard.

He reminds me of certain RBs I wish dallas had over the years. He runs like a lot of backs i wish dallas had. I like how Williams uses his body to lean on and get under defenders as leverage to drag them, or break tackles to pick up extra yards. I love me some Marco and zeke, but not even they were creative runners like that.

Williams running style reminds me of a hard running Kamara from years back.

Not saying that Williams is better than any of the guys I mentioned but I am happy dallas has a back that I always wanted them to have.

He’s a stout RB.

But he doesn’t have elite speed.

More like a 4.6 40 time.

They are gonna run him hard this season.

Blue needs a lot of work still.

Yup, he was never a JAG. Exceptional as a rook in a rotational role(over 900yds), he then tore up his knee. Takes around 2 years to recover from that, and this is his 3rd following the surgery. If he was going to get his exceptional burst back, now was the time. Looks like he was 100% on schedule.

Doesn't need elite speed. We've lacked this type of RB forever, and now we've finally got one, and it's obvious the difference he makes. However, he does have elite burst, which is many times more important than speed.

He can’t get into the C gaps. They drag him down.

But they used the power I, with the FB lead, for the red zone TD.

Worked great.

He ran a 4.55 40 time before the draft.

After the knee, he looks like 4.6+

Blue runs a 4.4

It's not like Javonte Williams asked you to bet on him. Your hate is displaced. Detox by drinking 5 ounces of castor oil.

Testing scores are only a very small part of what makes a player effective. J is very quick to and through the hole, as well as having great moves to gain yardage in a crowd.

You are grossly overestimating the importance of HR ability. Power guys win super bowls, speed guys are excellent complements.

Just a bit of prospective here but every Cowboys RB has a average ypc of 5.0 or better and 5 games is decent sample size.

I think offensive line coach, Conor Riley has to get some love in making this injured rag-tag offensive line pretty damm good.

They are pass protecting that butts of and making every average RB very productive.

Conor Riley......take a bow, son.
