I liked him from the day he got here. I was a big supporter of him all last year
Felt Romo was the better player this year and looked forward to him starting.
Bledsoe's performance this year week to week just reinforced that opinion.
Have to say, as much as I was excited for Romo, I really felt bad for Bledsoe on that sideline.

I love the way he's handling this and what he's said in this press conference.
All class!

I respect him as well.

And as I stated before, Bledsoe is due a huge bonus if he is on our roster next season.

Don't think for a minute that was not a consideration here.

I really like Bledsoe as a person - seems to be a good teammate, great attitude, etc. Maybe a bit of a baby sometimes? Sure, but I can't fault a competitive QB that. But he said all the right things in his PC today.

I do feel like Romo should be starting, and have felt this for several games. But that is based on Bledsoe's performance as a player, not anything else. Bledsoe is a good guy to have in the star, sorry it wouldn't work out.

So what did he say? I take from the bits and pieces, Drew is going to be our backup?

Next years bonus is of no consideration to him now. He has enough money and understands his odds of seeing that bonus are slim at best.

He'll only be on the roster next year if Romo completely flames out and we can't get ourselves another vet to backup what will undoubtedly be a high round QB draft choice.

I like Bledsoe as well, always have. I am glad to see him handling this well and that he won't become a distraction.

I was talking about from the Cowboys point of view. There is no way the Cowboys will pay him that bonus, so it would obviously be better for the Cowboys financially, and for our future if Romo is our unquestioned starting QB going into next year. Bledsoe is gone no matter what.

Duh! what else could he say?

it's all spin, damage control.

he'd be a darn fool to say anything BUT I will stay and help out.

If you REALLY listen to what he says, he is still very upset, and he has that right. The fact that he is a team captain merited a much more sincere, remorseful response. He disrespected his coach and the team again by basically saying he didn't agree with the decision.

That statement: "I give this team the best chance to win" is a load of baloney! What an arrogant twerp he really is.

If he was really on board he would have taken this opportunity to aplogize for his behavior during and after the game, when he stood on the sideleines distancing himself from his teamates AND running away from the media like a five year old that got his feelings hurt cause he wasn't allowed to play anymore!

So do you think that the bonus money was discussed at halftime before he made the switch ??

I totally disagree, Parcells made this decision and he doesn't care about the bonus.

I like the guy and believe he's all class. I was a big supporter of his, but I think that it's time to see what Romo can do.

i saw him standing there in the 2nd half, distancing himself from everyone, his true colors showed. im not buying this garbage, and furthermore how long will he remain a captain on this team? he mentioned this team captain thing like 2 or 3 times, is he trying to pull rank here?

no question about it.

in addition, if bledsoe had lit it up the first 7 weeks, he'd still be the starter, and we'd be 6-1.

I think Bledsoe is looking way past being on this roster next year. He is preparing for his next team.

It may only be a one or two year deal but he WILL be starting with someone next year.

Drew just showed again how classy he is and how professional's should hanle themselves.

I like Bledsoe, I think he is a professional and will carry himself that way.

Obviously, he was the starter when he was named Captain, along with Ellis, but I wonder if we have ever had a Team Captain that was a non-starter, just for a historical view?

It will never happen.
