I'll share with you fans my thoughts and feelings concerning the schedule.

Becuase of the parity in todays NFL, no team ever really gets much of a break I believe. If the team you cheer for is good, then they will win their games.

Plus, do you really want an easy schedule? So the Cowboys can get ridiculed like the Seahawks last season? There is a good side and a bad side to that.

One thing that will NOT be denied is that the winner of the NFC East EARNS the title of Division Champions.

Week 3 Bye week - Well, I am disappointed in that, but you just cannot get a Week 9 Bye every year. Plus, the last time Dallas had a Week 3 Bye, the Cowboys saw the post-season.

Bad News: Dallas has three straight road games following a Monday Night home game against the Giants.

Bad news: Dallas plays on the three holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)

Good News: Five of the last seven games are in Dallas!

Good News: The only possible COLD game is in New York in early December.

What does this mean to me?

If the Cowboys go 5-3 in the first half of the season, they can end up at 11-5 or even 12-4 with that home-friendly second half of the season.

I appreciate the kind words - I am just trying to offer some different perspectives.

I don't think the schedule is as bad as many make it out to be.

Remember, Washington, Philly and New York have tough schedules as well.

I actually don't think our schedule is that tough. Lately, the Cowboys have been starting off strong, and seem to have a bit of a dropoff toward the end of the season.

A strong start, and who knows, we could be 6-2 at the halfway mark. Then the rest would be SMOOTH sailing.

Other Notables:

1. FOX only has NINE of the sixteen games. NBC has THREE games, CBS has TWO games, and ESPN and the NFLN has ONE game apiece.

2. SEVEN games are the early afternoon games. FIVE games are the late afternoon games (counting the Christmas Day 4 PM game), and FOuR games are night games.

Do you think the Giants game or even the Colts game will get pushed back?

3. Dallas plays only one game in a dome (Atlanta).

Definitely. I can see the Colts game being touted as the superbowl preview.
