I don't truly care what the rest of the NFC East does, nor the NFC for that matter. Dallas just keeps winning, they are in the rear view.

I believe in my heart Dallas thumps the Vikings. I also believe Dallas beats the Giants, Bucs, and Lions.

At that point i do not care what happens in the eagles game as long as this team comes away with no injuries.

But for one moment dream with me here.

If Dallas were to run the table after the Eagles game, regardless of that outcome, that means they win it all. This team is back on top. But more importantly the following happens.

The rest of the NFC must sit and watch Dak Prescott, a fourth round QB in 2016, hoist the Lombardi.

That is sweet since every one of them had a shot at him in the draft. (I know, there is more to this than Dak. But the fans of other teams will be grousing about Dak being taken in the fourth.)

However, the NFC East has to really take a bite out of that crap sandwich. Because, Dak and Zeke and this offensive line plays then twice a year for the next four years before Zeke comes up for a renewal.

And while I have grown as a fan and truly try to be objective about this game and this team, there is something so very delicious about the idea they would sit through this off-season, watching as Dallas uses its resources to build a solid defense, knowing that could put Dallas on track to win more Lombardi's as this team matures.

Sorry, not anything really earth shattering.

But there is one component here that you need to consider. Regardless of our opinions, and the skirmishes and arguments about this team. We have a commonality in that we all want this team to do well, and, frankly, to rub the noses of the rest of the East in this team's, and our success by association.

Thanks, I just needed to sort of gloat here a bit on the success of this team and how much i am enjoying this season.

Of course I want them to win it all but I don't want Prescott or Jerry to hold the trophy. I'll look away. Refuse to accept that visual.

If they went 15-1 or 12-4 I'd feel the same about their playoff chances. Capable of beating anyone but a vulnerable half of a team. The offense can't afford to be off their game even once.

Beats the hell out of last year. I became very spoiled decades ago when I wondered how we would do in the playoffs and who we'd play. Then I became happy if we competed for the playoffs.

This year I'm back to wondering how far we go in the playoffs and who we play. I'm singing in the rain again. Woot!

What if they flew in Wentz to accept the trophy. Would that allow you to watch the post game festivities?

Absolutely. Old man here, but in the 70s the playoff bomuses were computed into the Cowboys salary negotiations as part of the expected compensation, and in those days the playoff money mattered.

And why is this post an immature view?

I'm an old guy too. Been one since day one.

I guess the idea of the fans of Dallas' most significant rivals crying into their pillows is sort of childish. But so be it, I'll take childish.
