Wish him luck gang! He's undergoing what the doctors have told me will be a relatively easy deal. My wife actually talked about bringing a flask into the waiting area she's so nervous. (I talked her out of it

) I know in my heart everything will be fine, but I worry about my young buck. He's my world. I could use some reassurances if you guys can provide them. Hehe!
Thanks all!

Whatever you do, don't make him laugh after the surgery.

I agree... laughing after hernia surgery hurts like heck!

He will be fine... I wish him a very speedy recovery!

i heard they dont even have to cut people open any more, just a scope and a screwer (dont know exact name) but it makes for a much faster recovery and much less pain. so heres to your sons health

My brother had it done when he was 7...the recovery was very painful for him but that was in the mid '80s...I am sure it is alot different now.

I wish him luck and a fast recovery.

I had hernia surgery 37 years ago...I still walk with a gimp and can't run for the pain. I will never have children either. I am also demented, but I can't get anyone to believe that was the result of the surgery.

JUST KIDDING!!! He'll be fine...

That's because you are too consumed with getting the precious back. :D

I had hernia surgery when I was a kid. Don't remember it at all. Just got a small scar. My mom said I kicked the doc in the face, before they could calm me down. :p:

It's years later and I'm still alive to talk about it. I even forget to mention it when I have to fill out my medical history on those doc forms. :)

Successful surgery everyone. He was embarrassing the hell out of me and my wife when he woke up though. He was yelling things like "Where am I!??" "Why are these doctors trying to hurt me!!!??","This medicine's not working!!!" I was dying laughing, but I wanted to jack him up so bad.

I had to think, "would I have done that to my parents?"

I love it! I love it when parents raise their kids with a good sense of humor!

Great to hear that everything turned out well.

My parent's raised me with a good sense of humor, then thankfully, she went away to college.
