Super Bowl 40 (XL) prediction...

MINNESOTA vs. NEW YORK JETS

Why... Minnesota will be better without the Randy Ratio... Culpepper proved it last year jumping out of the gate with TD passes galore... Their RBs are ready to go this season, except for Mr. Whizzinator...
The Minnesota defense is going to be gigantic... imagine a DL of Erasmus James, Kevin Williams, Pat Williams, and Kinechi Udezi (sp?) They will be hugely improved...
New York does have a really good defense too, even with the departures of Mickens, Ferguson, and Abraham retiring. Johnathan Vilma is the real deal... expect him in the headlines multiple times. Speaking I think (4 different languages fluently). The boy's got to be very smart too... The offense?? No flies on Pennington or Curtis Martin... Good OL with Mawae still...

What about the Colts you say... I think Manning might have a bit of Marinoitis... I just don't think the Colts have the defense yet... Plus they are so different playing away from their home turf... And with Peyton getting a guaranteed 35 big ones from his monster contract last year... Cashwise they just can't afford big moves, and it will be harder to do in years to come.
What about the Patriots you say? Their run should be over... Out of respect for my Cowboys... They wont go 4 out of the last 5. Just can't with the losses of both quality coordinators... Sorry Tom B.

Anyway... Minnesota wins fairly easily IMO...

Also, I think Dallas will advance from the wild card spot only to lose to a division winner...

Dallas should be 10-6 or 11-5... with early growing pains of that 3-4... They should be a monster on defense by the end of the season... Looking for where to improve offensively by the end of the season should be apparent.

If the Jets make it to the SB with Pennington at the helm I will be shocked. He still isnt 100%.

If it's Minnisota and the JEts in the SB, i will throw my head into a wall, niether one fo those teams are even close to ready for a NFC/AFC chapmionship game. These teams need at elast a year to gel get there chemistry and get used to certain depatures. If anybody i can see Falcons VS. Colts, With Pats and Phili going down, i see real good chance for these two teams to face off again this time in America.

I agree about the Vikings needing time to gel.

The have a revamped D. And a lot of ??? at the RB position.

The entire NFCN looks weak to me. Especially after just watching the Lions/Jets game.

Give me the Colts and Atlanta also, or the Colts and Panthers. I really think it works for the Colts this year if they can get homefield playoffs with NE slipping a little and with the superbowl inside in Detroit. In the NFC I like Atlanta, Carolina with a lot of key players returning, Minnesota and Dallas(homer), but I don't think it matters and the Colts beat whoever ends up there.

I don't see how the Jets can make it, it seems like they lose big name guys every year like Ferguson, McKenzie, LJordan, their LBs retired, they did get Coles back but lost Moss to get him, even Aaron Glenn and the other CB they had and the guard Robert Thomas down to the weird helmet wearing John Hall kicker they had. I think that catches up with them and Pennington has arm problems hes dealing with anyway and Curtis Martin is still effective but pretty old, I dont think they can do it

Hmmm...A Miami player in the headlines multiple times.

You thinking drive bys or drug deals? Or both?
