My theory on Romo last night

There is no really logical argument to say "he just played bad"...he was playing too well coming in and we were playing a very bad team decimated by injuries on defense...sure maybe the Bills were fired up, but that can only sustain you so long when you are decidedly outmanned

I really believe Romo got hurt last night. He missed throws he routinely makes in his sleep and most of his throws seemed to lack any zip and came up short...I am convinced the Cowboys also knew he was hurt, as it clearly appeared Brad Johnson was getting ready to come in the game at one point.

He took a number of really big hits...it could have been an arm/hand injury, or it could have been a concussion...he did seem to have a dazed sort of look (and yes, it could have been because he couldnt believe the results of some of the plays) but either way, it could explain why things went so wrong...of the two, I think the better scenario is a minor concussion because he can get over that in a few days...an arm/hand injury could be something that hinders him for weeks, if not for the rest of the year

thats my theory and I'm sticking to it

Makes sense to me. He took some hits I felt were borderline late.

Well, the problem with that theory is that two of his interceptions were thrown in his first hand-full of passes

I said that to my wife during the last half of the first quarter. Romo looked to be floating his passes.

He was jittery early, he was overthrowing badly early. He was hit a few times but this is the NFL. Drew Bledsoe was concussed in game he was pulled. Happens to QB's all the time. Bills also jumped a few of his throws as he was looking receivers down.

He had a bad game.

It's that simple - JMO

the first one was an overthrow...didnt he get hit after letting that one go though?

He had some fingers taped up on his left hand later in the game. That is about the time that Brad put on his helmet.

Romo was just off last night. On that goal line pick, after Newman's int, it looked as though Romo threw into triple coverage. He was either floating the ball or forcing it. A bad combination. He is still a young QB, but at no point did I think Wade would bench him last night.

Funny, he threw for over 300 yards and rallied us in 4th quarter.
He took a few hits, thats what happens to NFL QB's.

He had a bad game and eeked a victory out.

He got rattled. I think he was just off. His timing wasn't there and I think it threw him off. Like BP said last night. If he gets his feet set and throws on time he is a great QB. Watch the Crayton TD to get us within 2. Tony went back, set his feet and fired the ball on time and it was a great pass. Our O-line stunk in the running game tonight though and that didn't help much.

thats true...but he also had 3 or 4 other throws that could have easily been picked

a couple of the passes to Owens stood out to me in thinking something was wrong...one was a deep sideline pass to Owens when he had a couple steps on the CB...it was almost the exact same play they ran last week to Crayton, and its a throw Romo almost never misses (about 20-30 yds)...he missed short and into the ground behind Owens...there was another deeper route to the left he missed in similar fashion

maybe I am reaching I dunno...but I really have a hard time believing he could have played that bad w/o something being wrong physically...too many throws just seemed to be floaters or short and into the ground, rather than zipping them and hutting guys in stride

After the first 2 int, Romo had very little confidence and was trying to aim the ball. One of the first times I have ever seen him lose confidence. The pick he threw when trying to go to Hurd was just a floter. The misses to TO on the sdielines was him being too careful.

It was a bad game period. I don't think he was hurt - except confidence wise.

I hope he gets over it quickly.

The Romo Life

You take the good,
You take the bad,
You take them both and there you have the Romo life.
The Romo life.

he seemed a little woozy or something in the press after. He was either:

concussed
dazed from the experience
sick
drunk

Not sure which

Its seems like it was a combination of things. He had a bad night for sure; but Garrett called a bad game for most of it as well. the Bills were hyped to the max and played very smart on D.

it looked to me that the guy punched Romo first under (the facemask) then ripped off his helmet off...

Plan and simple Buffalo ran some coverage’s that confused Tony. Even Romo said afterwards that he was unsure on many of his throws because Buffalo was doing something’s he had not seen before. It causes him to hesitate on some of the passes and lead to picks.
