He was jittery early, he was overthrowing badly early. He was hit a few times but this is the NFL. Drew Bledsoe was concussed in game he was pulled. Happens to QB's all the time. Bills also jumped a few of his throws as he was looking receivers down.
He had a bad game.
It's that simple - JMO
I would not be surprised if we hear something to the effect that Romo was shaken up or some such thing. However, I believe Nors has the right take. Many are fond of comparing Romo to Brett Favre. Well, now you see the downside of that kind of gunslinger mentality. The good news is that we won. This, IMO, was an excellent game for us and for Tony. Going into the New England game, I think it would have been bad to have Romo thinking he could do no wrong, which is what I believe the mind set was going into the Bills game. Well, a little bit of humility doesn't hurt anybody.
This reminds me of a story about my Brother and my Dad. When my Brother was about 18, he was pretty full of himself and he told my father that he didn't have to do what he was told. Went on to tell my Dad that he wasn't affraid of him. My Dad turned to my Brother and told him, very matter-of-factly that you didn't have to be scared to get your arse kicked.
Well, I imagine you can guess the rest. Point here is that it's not a bad thing to come back to the real world every once and awhile. QBs have bad games. Romo is not all world. He's a good young QB that can win a bunch of games if he plays within himself. The team is good enough to win games if Romo doesn't consistantly put them in a position to have to overcome bad plays. The team can make plays. That's what I hope comes out of last nights game.
When it's all said and done, the team stood by Romo and we pulled one out. It was the best win we have had in many years because the team won that game. Not the defense, not a QB, not any one single player. The team overcame obsticals and won out. They stuck together and that has not happened in a long time.
