First i noticed something in Zones chatroom. People come on this forum just to post on the bad things this team does, and will disappear when anything positive happens. And thats just shameful. I know this forum isnt about being all pro Cowboys because they have alot of flaws, but i think this forums moderators need to start getting rid of some of these trolls who go about going into every thread and every weekend gameday chat to sit there and troll the hell out of it. Again everybody has the right to their opinions but you should remember this is a COWBOYS fan forum. I know theres a ignore button but "aint noyone got time fo that". IM glad this team is winning ugly right now, that builds confidence that they can win them games they should lose. So from my Cowboys to all its doubters heres a big ........you. It might be early in the season but this team has me upbeat for this season. I just see a bunch of young players who arent giving up.
Dallas needs to cut MO and Wilcox. They are not fits for this defense. I thought Wilcox was a clone of the type of player Church is but no. Church is much better. Wilcox cant cover and doesnt understand his assignments.
The OL played a complete game today. Run game and pass game. They manhandled this DL which was supposed to be one of the best in the NFL. Either they are extremely overrated, or this OL is really good. I think its this OL imposing their will on defenses. Love what this team has built up front.
Everybody just better get used to this Romo we are seeing now. His back isnt going to be 100% again. So now its about him being able to play within the system and what the defense is giving him. So IMO he needs to be in that film room everyday. Thats worked for Manning his entire career. He just knows what the defense is doing. So far he's doing a good job letting the run game dictate what direction to go on gameday. Today other then that pick 6 he played a good game.
I posted a picture of what i thought was Murrays issue with the fumbles and it was right on the money. Ball away from the body and hand placement on the ball. A swat and that ball is out of there. 3 fumbles in 3 weeks is a concern. He needs to stop dancing behind the LOS because the guy is guaranteed 6 yrds when he just hits the hole full steam.
Dez wasnt 100% today, but thats not his problem. The problem is he just doesnt adjust or break off his route on double teams or when Romo is in trouble. Teams see this and they just stick to a simple double team. He is not in CJ class or even Julio Jones class. IMO Dallas is doing the right thing on not getting baited into a huge deal for Dez. Pay the man but not in the obscene money range. Dez is a probowler but just not the caliber of CJ or Jones. Dallas has been winning without him having them big games. Think this team wins and loses on Murrays shoulders.
Bruce Carter has come into his own as a player. He is making plays in all aspects of the game. If Dallas gets pressure its usually him on a blitz, he's on ST creating havoc, he's a rock against the run and he has greatly improved his pass defense. I dont think they should break the bank for him and i doubt any team will, but he is the SAM of the present and future for this team.
Today we saw the value of Rolando McClain to this defense.
Dallas has a bunch of players who need to be depth and not starters on defense. They will get by but they will allow yrds. IMO:
Selvie
Hayden
Mincey
Hitchens
Wilber
Wilcox
Claiborne
All have no business being starters.Like i said they will compete and thats all you can ask for.
