IM going to start this week by saying sometimes its better to be lucky then good. And i mean this wholeheartedly in reference to Wilcox. The guy was so out of posistion on that INT that you just have to laugh when something good comes out from something so horrible that you wonder why he is starting. He is single high and he is literally going in the opposite direction from the way intended pass is going. LOL its tipped and falls right to him. He held on to it so thats all that matters.

The Defense started great and end the game ever better. It was clear that the defense benefited from the practice bootcamp the team put them through this week. That move was pure genius. That got them prepared for the tempo they were going to face vs philly.

Mincey is turning into the DLs workhorse. He's slow and not very strong but the guy never stops moving and finds ways to get sacks. I dont know what happened to him in jacksonville and i dont care, all i know is the guy is a gamer for this team. He never quits.

I think we mightve saw the starting DTs for 2015 tonight in Crawford and McClain. Melton is clearly affected by not getting on the field because of Crawford. And im not even mad about it.

In 2015 this team needs to get some DEs. I have a feeling Jerry is going to sell out and i wouldnt be suprised to see JPP in Dallas next yr. I would love to see him rushing from the right side. If he was the only FA signing for the defense he would make a big difference for this team.

Rolando McClain will make some super plays like the first series of this game and them level off and make you scratch your head. Thats why i dont think he is a lock for this team next yr.

The OL dominated today early, and Free went out of the game. Xwalker Parnell is a backup plain and simple. Sorry to bust your bubble but all this you talk about Free getting all this help is so wrong its not even funny. Free is a huge peive to the success of this OL. I see a 3 yr deal coming for Free at the end of the yr.

Dez bryant had a monster game, but i have to say give alot of that credit to Romo with them perfectly placed balls. But he abuse fletcher tonight. That had to be the longest game of his career.

Romo had a couple misthrows but the guy was money the whole game. Romo got them back in the game with his arm tonight and that was a good thing to see.

Why the hell has it taken this long to get Beasely involved in the gameplan?

I know i mention this alot but it really gets to me. There are some of you in this forum who have to be some of the worst fans this team has. Its like some of you get more happy with Cowboy failure then theyre success. And thats a sad thing.

And lastly ill say Leary didnt win the battle with cox tonight but he didnt lose it either. He controlled Cox for the most part. And Barwin was controlled aswell for the most part. And those two were the two most disruptive players on thanksgiving.

Get ready to have some fun cause the boys are playing for keeps. And the ride is just starting. So get on the wagon and enjoy it. Every minute of it.

Lol I don't understand the Wilcox bashing or safety bashing for that matter. If we aren't getting beat deep often then that means the back two are doing their job. The problem is the middle of the field and the sideline is wide open when we play zone because of the lack of depth by the linebackers and ****** play by Brandon Carr.

MCClain has been solid all year I expect Dallas to sign him long term they obviously like him. Also JJ is growing into a decent safety. He needs to take better angles but it's something that can be fixed with coaching. He's a 2nd year guy so we will see how it all plays out. Once we get a couple of edge rushers and another corner things will be better for sure

Where'd you see the thing about boot camp practice? Got any details?

I don't think JPP comes here. We won't have much $ after resigning our own guys.

I'd take Suh over JPP as an FA if we did have the $ though

yes on talkin cowboys they talked about it. Basically dallas lined up its first and second units in huddles and ran plays back to back on the defense all week. They would run one play and as soon as the ball was stopped the 2nd unit would run on to the field and ready to snap the ball for the next play. over and over again.

Dallas has 1 guy that will get big money and thats dez. The rest will get basic deals because nobody else really commands it. Dallas isnt going to have Meltons 8.4 mil to worry about and Tyrons deal is built for a restructure because of the amount of yrs on the deal. And he got a friendy signing bonus so it helps alot. Carrs money can be used to sign draft picks. Dallas will have plenty.

Dallas problems are not at DT, but DE.

@LatinMind,

Good post. You brought up the point about Free not needing help and how a certain someone is wrong. Kudos, to you good sir for pointing that out. I'm not sure how they can continually sit there and tell us how Parnell needs more game reps to get better because of his inexperience. At some point you have to admit that your wrong about a player and move on.

I'd like to see how Rolando McClain responds to a full offseason and maybe surgery to clean up his knee since he's been battling that issue all year long. Maybe another one year prove it deal?

Either way, this defense really needs a serious talent infusion. I'd like to think that this year the Cowboys can go deep in the playoffs but I just don't see it with the way this defense folds at times in the game.

I hate to use the word rust or perhaps it's the time away but he does make a couple of mental errors a game. I bring him back and suspect that an offseason of mini camps and training camp makes a difference. I'd much rather do that than try to draft his replacement. We have many holes to fill all ready.

Brainfart incoming, was Spencer out for this game? I did not notice him once in the game.

I think he will end up signing a deal elsewhere for more money. If Marinelli bolts he's gone IMO. He's talked about the coaches. Dont be suprised if he is playing for tampa next yr.

Way to start off your post criticizing a guy who was responsible for two of the biggest defensive plays in the game.

Yeah Wilcox was in the right place at the right time, but that was far from a gimme INT. Wilcox was also the one who forced the fumble on Celek in the 4th.

Say what you want but I believe he's better than you give him credit for. I never see opposing QBs target him deep. He might have been out of position but that play was a huge spark in the game. Also he's the only player in the secondary who seems to have great hands catching the ball. I see you on his case a lot but I don't think you put in perspective of how young he is[23years] and how this is only his third year at safety in HIS LIFE. Only his second year pro at the position. Think about that. He's inexperienced at a position in a professional league yet he still is above average with more growth to his game.

The best way to study a safety is to watch the All 22 film and see how his range is and how he keeps recievers from getting behind him. I rarely see him getting beat deep and I've actually seen JJ make plays locked up in man 2 man coverage. JJ isn't perfect as id like him to read the play better and be more diciplined but things like that come with time when he starts to grasp the concept of the position and how opposing offenses attack.

Are you kidding me? IN Dallas; zone anything deep is basically on him. Thats the way this zone works. Same with Church but You hardly ever see Church chasing a deep pass because he doesnt allow the wr behind him. you dont need to have all 22 to know how this defense works. Its pretty simple the conerback play outside to inside and funnel everything inside. Thats why u see so many completions to the middle of the field under the safeties. Wilcox biggest problem is he gets baited because he's cheating instead of sticking to his zone and gets caught in nomans land. Same thing with Carter. Thats when big plays happens. Think you need to watch more all22 homie

I'd like a 'fess up' and 'crowbeque' from all those who ridiculed all of us who said that this Dallas team was at the minimum, a 10 win team this season...and this was a good game to watch.

As to count, that is 2-0 in December and counting!

This team reminds me of the 1991 team. They had the pieces on offense and met a Lions team who were just too good on offense and the defense couldnt keep up in the divisional round.

I wasn't sold on him before the season because he's not a RGK but the more I watch Suh the more he absolutely dominates people. He has become the only free agent that I think we sell out for.

We're in a Romo window and I think the Cowboys will be Super Bowl contenders next season and Jerry has to do whatever it takes to get him in here.
