My thoughts on the game and the season

Okay, so we are halfway through the year, and just won a must win game against Arizona.

First of all, major props to Mike Zimmer. All the pundits dismissed your coaching ability, but you are one of the very best D-Coordinators in football. Dallas defense is a top 5 D and is much more aggresive than any we've had since the early 90s.

The offense still has some kinks to work out, but still better than any we've had in a decade. Mistakes, fumbled snaps, etc have to go though.

WE are 5-3, and even though we should, not could, should be at least 7-1, 5-3 is a good position to make the playoffs.

we have some tough division road games, especially in cold weather. teams like the chefs, donkeys, and carolina will be a challenge. But I really think we will be in every game and love the fact we have 2 weeks to prepare for the eagles. Have a feeling our chances of making the playoffs may come down to the last week but I don't care, as long as we are in it til the end I will be happy

I think the game against the eagles will tell us EXACTLY where we are as a team. Its good that we've got 2 weeks to get ready for em, but I'd bet a lot that it wont be a blow out this time, either way!! We're in good shape and if we can play like this consistently, we'll do very well!

Before the season started, I think most fans would have been satisfied with this record at this point. It's discouraging to know that it could have, and probably should have, been better. At the same time, I guess it could have been worse too...

There are still some kinks to work out, as you might expect with a young team. But you can also see that there is still some potential for better play too.

I have been proud of the young players and their contributions. I have been happy with the play of the veterans who, according to some, would never be able to make the switch.

All in all, I'm excited about this team, its direction, its potential, and what could happen the rest of the season.

I was worried about the Monday nighter with the Eagles but it looks like they have too many injuries to overcome. They will be pumped up for revenge but I don't think it will be enough.

I'm not worried, we'll shut down their O like we've done to all the top offenses, and they're O can't be considered top anymore, for now at least, it probably won't be a blowout, but I dont' see us getting blown out, think they take out their fustrations of today's loss on the Commanders hehe

Again, most agreed, at least those with good football knowledge, this Defense was going to take a while to cme together. I think they got it together a bit earlier than I thought, but they are starting to really gel. Scary scary.

Arizona prolly only gets 9 points, but McCown made a PERFECT throw to Boldin on the TD..Henry had it covered pretty well
