So Colombo wants to make as much as he can. What's wrong with that? Eventually the market will set his price and that's what he'll take to stay in Dallas, unless someone overpays. Colombo is finding out though that other teams are as concerned about his re-constructed knee as much as Dallas is. Right now Colombo is getting about 3.5Mill a year from Dallas, but by waiting too long, he runs the risk of that number falling - so I think he may sign sooner than later. But what really concerns me more than him not signing yet is the fact that most other teams are really not interested in him. It makes you wonder if we should even be interested. Food for thought...

Columbo should also realize that the Cowboys have other options besides him.......if Jerry was desperate, then Columbo would have been re-signed immediately. Columbo will soon realize that the Cowboys are his only option to play full time considering that he came back from a major injury...........

Ultimately, we just can't force the guy to play here, and if the the organization feels that McQuistan is ready, or they can find someone in the draft to move right in, then so be it.

I want Davis at RG & Colombo at RT. We'd have experience on the right side plus Colombo's a hard working guy with a nasty disposition which I hope rubs off on Davis. Except for Adams, that would give us a pretty decent young OL for about 5 years down the road with hopefully McQuistan showing he good enough to someday soon take over at LT.

We'd have Proctor & Berger as OG backups--although both need game time experience--so both probably will get a lot of field experience in preseason games. That's gives us 8 OL players (unless we keep Fabini but only if he viable backup OT) but we still need a backup center who hopefully also plays another OL position or is a LS.
