Tony Romo did!
the Baltimore game gives me nightmares. That was probably the most drunk I have ever been. makes me sick to even think about
Did you live through the era or are just reading about it? The standard back then was the super bowl. Thats a point that's hard to grasp for fans that didn't actually live through that era. The Catch was the closest Landry ever got. The team was stuck and couldn't get over the hump after it. The Dynasty slowly unraveled while Niners went on to win 4 super bowls. It was absolutely one of the turning points in Landry's dynasty.
That's a load of garbage.
The thing is, the Cowboys very much did come close to coming back. If Irvin had just dragged his toes in the end zone in the second quarter on a pass from Aikman, it would have been 21-14 and we're talking a whole different ballgame.
Or if Deion hadn't recovered so quickly from slipping in the mud in the fourth quarter on a deep route - been just a half second late to get up - Irvin would have totally strolled into the end zone untouched and it would be 38-35 and the Niners would be very rattled psychologically.
This one still hurts!
The four that sticks out in recent years that I truly believe that it would have changed the trajectory of the team are:
1) Romo's Cabo, that's my quarterback fumble against the Seahawks
2) Dez's Non-Catch. It was a damn catch. A damn good one.
3) Defensive playoffs collapse against the Packers, 2016
4) Dak's injury. I think he would have went on to have a great year.
You're right. It was like after the 1st quarter we played better than them but just couldn't get over the humps. The breaks weren't going our way. That was a bad day for me as a Cowboys fan. I really wanted a threepeat. Still hurts.
After Jackie Smith, this here- below as it cost us at least 1 SB win and new glory with a young Zeke and a stacked roster we never experienced!!
Not really. dallas hasn't been a contender since 07. Nothing much has been expected since then. even if they started trying to put a real well rounded team together since 2016.
The Irvin injury
Pickle juice game
Every week 17 win or go home games
Nah if he played for Dallas they all would have done whatever he wanted voluntarily.
But seriously I dont see why Dak catches such crap for lack of postseason success but Watson is regarded as some superstar.
Even if he comes back and plays to the highest of his ability, it still won't be worth what they gave up for him.
I was kinda hoping Philly would burn a decade on him, but no such luck.
Not only that, but, didn't Watson engineer one of the biggest playoff choke jobs of all time against the Chiefs? So elite!
Ha....maybe. I don't recall things like that....
I'm not really a Dak defender, but I at the same time don't see what Watson has done that he hasn't.
Ah yes. That one.
Hey I'm headed to Cleveland this weekend for the Yankees. If I see some dude in a bear suit I'll stop and say hey.
1- day Jerry bought the Cowboys
2- day Jerry fired Landry
3- day Jerry fired Jimmy
4- day Jerry say he wants to give Garrett 10 years
5-day Jerry hired Campo as HC
6-day Jerry drafted Quincy Carter
I used to let Cowboys losses ruin my entire Sunday. But as I've matured, I realize that letting something I have no control of ruin my day and potentially my entire week leading up to the next game is silly and a waste of energy. I love the game and I love the Cowboys. Sure, there are games that have disappointed me, but I move on quickly because there are more important things in my life. That being said, some things from when I was younger:
Firing Landry. Didn't see it at the time, but it was justified. Should have been handled better. Even Jerry has said that
Hiring Jimmy Johson. I am a huge ND fan and hated the Miami Hurricanes at that time. Jimmy was their leader and I thought he was an a$$hole. Worked out pretty good though
Actually, I'm going to Pittsburgh on Friday night for a furry convention. If you're still here on Monday, you might see me.
And even this one here doesn't compare to Rams' running back CJ Anderson coming right over to OUR bench and dare to sit his fat azzz right between Tyron and Conner Williams as they ignored and let that go by ... Wimps !
i wished i could find a video of that one now ... !
