My worthless vision to go all in

I call it worthless because I know it will not happen
But I am in a chatty mood

IF we can get a decent deal with Pickens, sign it. Otherwise tag him
Dump Steele and find a decent Vet tackle
We have to take some risks to we do what we can at LT between Guyton and Tyler; or send Tyler to LT and Guyton to RT if we cannot get a decent vet
Resign Davonte

I think otherwise we are good on the O.

Now for the heavy lifting (as in 100 tons)

Keep clark if we can get a decent cap number at all
Resign Clowney
Find two starting LBs in FA; there is good value out there
There are a couple of excellent safety prospects in the draft besides Downs (if he is there at 12, grab him. Theinman or Macneil-Warren would seriously upgrade Safety and get a Decent one in FA as well
Look for a pass rusher in FA hired gun pass rushing specialist like Clowney
CB I would keep Revel and Bland and look for the top CB we can get in the draft

and needless to say sign Aubrey
These look like good common-sense moves, that a good GM would make. The jury's still out on weather Ol Jerry will give more authority to McClay, Schottenheimer and the staff. I agree that Dallas needs to find a way to extend Pickens and keep he and Lamb together, this is why the run game was so good last season. Steel needs to be released and replaced he was terrible at pass blocking last season, Dallas could move Guyton to right tackle and bring in a veteran free agent for left tackle. Clowney still has some gas left in the tank hope Dallas can sign him to a 2-to-3-year deal. Totally agree on the 2 free agent linebackers and the complete rebuilding of the safety room as well, Wilson is a box safety only and hooker is average at best.

Not hard work at all. Good year for fa lbs.

My Safety target not named Downs is Haulcy. I just think he fits this D to a T.

Id love a trade down picking up Delane
Hailey
Hill Jr or Rodriquez and later rounds would target Kyle Lewis LB Pittsburgh
I love it, it is really not that hard. I would grab Budda Baker and put him at nickel and draft another good nickel corner as well. I love Delane and Kyle Lewis, these are difference makers. Downs is a monster and if he is there at 12 you pounce at the chance to add him. I am studying up on this draft class daily.

Doesn’t 2nd year Maye and Sam Darnold make you think if you can keep the nucleus of this offense in house in Dallas with a solid draft heavy on the defense plus a few well placed FA signings Dallas can jump to 11-12 wins in 2026 and do playoff damage . You have to have a defense that gets turnovers and stops people doesn’t get run over obviously .
This is the right formula Ron, keep your offense intact, add a tackle to replace Steel, and make this defense as good as you possibly can. Double up on Edge, Linebacker, Safety and corner with free agency and the draft. Top free agents during the first week of free agency and blue-chip draft picks. This is what needs to get done but will it.

Not sure Louis is an instant difference but he has demonstrated skills that will help this team rebuild

This !!

Probably right but if there's any doubt, we can't stick him out there . He'd be a liability. Need healthy cbs.
Kinda stuck one more year. Hopefully he stays healthy and lights it up. Then you could trade him for little costs. But this year it would be too expensive

I think this is probably what 90% of the fans want. They will 100% sign guys we don't now/haven't heard of - both good and bad.

My issue is that we can do all you rightly prescribe...and it only gets us to 9-8 at best. The other teams - NY, Wash, Phil - are going to retool and get better. Chicago, Seattle, GB, etc...will get better.

Momma knows best: "Dak ain't it". The whole plan is to build around Dak...a house of cards built on a choker.

we are stuck with Dak for the next couple of years no matter what at the least
so I had to factor that into a plan that did not count on winning a lottery
If the rest of the team plays good enough and Dak is comfortable he can rack up the numbers good enough to win it

He can rack up numbers...but what do you mean "the rest of the team plays good enough"? We had that in 2022 playoffs and Dak wet the bed. In fact, Dak plays WORSE in big games...so what are winning by ASSUMING Dak is going to play well.

And...the more invest in Dak the more STUCK we are. You say "stuck"...but the only way to separate ourselves is by NOT investing more into a wasted project.

I wouldn't say thats all in more like a necessary no brainer. Going all in would be to trade for proven players like Crosby or watt etc. I think everything you mention is gonna happen anyway. Minus moving Tyler. Leave the middle of that line alone

Im the 10% that thinks this offseason will be different based of the new adC and coaching searches that has never happened here. Dak is fine we need a defense that can do their part

Look he is talking about him and Jerry

Pro tip: The koolaid leaves a bad after taste and indigestion. Just read the posts in late December/early January from last year's koolaid drinkers.

We already used a Top 15 pick on a guard. I really hope we don't use another on a safety.

O Tackles. Pass rushers. QB. Corners, and occasionally WR if they're elite.

That's what you use Top 15 picks on. Period. Those are the positions that change games. Safeties and Guards don't change games.
