Myles Jack didn't get a snap on Def Sunday?

Anyone still think we should have taken him? Obviously, if Smith never gets healthy we should have. But he can't get 1 snap? Looks like the front office may have made a wise choice not taking him.

Time will tell

What's it going to be then, eh?

Jacksonville is still "trying to figure out" where he "fits". That is sort of what people around here were saying in April. Of course at the time before the McClain suspension, some also thought our LBers were set.

It wasnt Smith vs Jack. You cant say they made a wise choice not taking him when their guy didnt play either.

Jack was a stupid pick because he's exactly the same player as Telvin Smith.

I wasn't a Myles JAck fan but I would've been fine taking him in the 2nd and most likely getting JAylon Smith in the 3rd.

That's what I thought, also. I'm not bagging on the guy nor do I want to delve into the Smith/Jack debate, but it's interesting that he didn't play a single snap. That's just weird.

Tough to say but if it was performance related, I would be REALLY surprised. That dude is a beast (at least, I thought).

If the rumors were true about the Pats wanting Smith, than he he would have never made it to the 3rd.

They weren't true according to Broadus who knows people in the Patriots organization who said they had another guy targeted.

I honestly can't see any team risking a 2nd on a guy that could potentially never play again. Especially the Patriots.

I'm not so sure that that was correct information. It's tough to say how long the kid would have lasted but being there in the 3rd at our pick doesn't sound like it was out of the realm pf possibility. We'll never know and it's water under the bridge, now. All we can do, at this point, is hope for a speedy and full recovery.

Patriots are one of the few teams who have that luxury. They plug and play anybody and they usually work out. Just my two cents, I could be wrong though.

They miss on a lot of picks but somehow it just all works out for them.. When I say somehow I mean having a great coach.

I'd trust Broaddus as far as I could throw him though............ and that's clearly not very far.

Fair enough but does anyone really believe the Cowboys & ..... PATRIOTS ... Were the only teams looking at Jaylon in the 2nd? Yeah right. The Patriots somehow got attached to it to give it some credibility.

I'm a big JAylon Smith fan.. He was the best player in the draft imo. But we reached before we had to.

Broaddus didn't appear a fan of the pick and I suspect he talked to a buddy with the Pats who said he didn't hear anything and Broaddus ran with it claiming the Pats had no interest so he could further prove what a poor pick it was. However, if I recall, there was a reporter from New England who tweeted out that Smith was a possible target for the Pats in Rd 2.

Nevertheless, it was still a massive risk by the Cowboys. Hope is pays off.
