That question was posed to receiver Patrick Crayton during an interview he did with SIRIUS NFL Radio.

According to various media reports, receiver Terrell Owens believes somebody on the team has been leaking news to ESPN and other outlets about the team's internal affairs.

Here's what Crayton had to say about the matter:
"That's still in question. That's still in question, but I think what we've tried to do right now is really kind of just put that to the side. That issue needs to be kind of really killed and swept up under the rug because we don't have time for it right now. We're in the middle of the playoff hunt and we don't have time to even deal with that kind of nonsense. If there's a mole, there's a mole. We had our own private meeting about that (last Friday) and what was said was said in that meeting and that's where it's going to be kept. If we have a mole, we have a mole and if we find out who it is then we'll handle it accordingly as players on this team."
Some insiders believe the alleged rift between Owens and Jason Witten stems from Owens' belief that Witten is the "mole."

One thing is certain: As Crayton pointed out, the team doesn't need to be dealing with such "nonsense" right now.

Here's a transcript of what Patrick Crayton had to say to hosts Howard David and Gil Brandt the other night:

Howard David: "Is the story incorrect as it relates to T.O. and is there any animosity between T.O. and Jason Witten?"

Patrick Crayton: "The story is very incorrect. There was a report they went to blows. I'm like, I don't know who saw that one. I don't know who made that one up or where that one came from. Ok, it made the news headlines. I guess somebody had to have a story to get some ratings. And there was a story that we pretty much, all three [receivers] went in and kicked [offensive coordinator Jason] Garrett's door down and held him hostage and had a meeting with him which, in actuality, that wasn't even the situation. Coach Garrett called us in there individually and we all met with him, cleared some things up, got on the same page, aired out the laundry. It was one of those things where it was just some stuff had to be said and it was a time that it needed to be said and it got said and we moved on."

David: "Is there any animosity between T.O. and Witten?"

Crayton: "No, there's no animosity at all."

David: "Now, here's the one thing that has to be a little bit unnerving for everybody in the locker room: the fact that the story came out in whatever form, the source came from someplace in the locker room. So, is there a rat in the locker room?"

Crayton: "That's still in question. That's still in question but I think what we've tried to do right now is really kind of just put that to the side. That issue needs to be kinda really killed and swept up under the rug because we don't have time for it right now. If there is a "mole hunt" taking place, then it worries me. If they're taking the approach of "if we happen find the mole, the mole will be brought to swift JUSTICE~" then I'm fine with it.

Either way, the players need to learn the term "next question" when it comes to this stuff. Just do it. Watch how far a story with no legs can run.

I strongly believe (and this, from an inside source) that Willie Blade is the rat.

Quit writing about this crap Osborn... or any of the other useless dallas "sports" writers that know less about football than most readers. There is so much "football" stuff to write about at this time on both sides of the ball as well as special teams. Terrible

Sorry, there's just no way that Witten could be the mole. This guy is all about giving his best all the time for this team so it could win and he'll do that whether he's wearing his helmet or not. A guy like that doesn't "rate" on any teammates. Can't help believing that TO believes "or wants to believe" the mole is Witten cause he's upset that he doesn't have the most catches on this team. He had no problem with that last season but then we won. TO is highly competitive and understand the really good WRs always want the ball but going after his QB isn't the way & Michael Irvin would be the first one to tell TO that.

How about if some players simply don't act the fool? Then there will be nothing to "rat out".

The problem is that this stemmed from Jason Garrett calling a meeting with his receivers, not any person acting like a fool. Some "rat" took it as more than it was and juiced it up for the media.

No. Paraphrasing from the original Ed Worthless article it was an anonymous source that talked to the players on the team and not a player. How reliable is that source, lol.

Hell I commend Ed, this story is still going on? The sooner everyone lets it die the better.

Bobbie Carpenter being on ESPN is very interesting in light of all this. He's so dumb he probably doesn't even know Skippy's past with Cowboys. I can see him and Skippy eatin' donuts at some meeting and telling Skippy insider stories about how they all tease him and call him Barbie. Flash forward to that same evening, him and Skippy naked in bed together and Skippy running his hands through his long blond locks, there there Barbie, errr Bobbie thanks for bearing not only your soul but your body. A weeping Bobbie says Skippy please don't tell anyone about the To stuff K?

Skippy is the mole by proxy. He knows if he divulges it another big sweaty lineman will want to kill him,so he calls Eddie and asks him to come by his apartment he has something juicy for him. Eddie replies, not again tonight skippy I have a headache and I need my Cowboy report. Skippy says no not that Werdy Woodcock, we need to talk.... and in the immortal words of Paul Harvey...."Now you know the rest of the story"....page 2
