ARLINGTON - With Roy Williams (shoulder) sitting this one out and Sam Hurd (quad) possibly a game-time decision, Miles Austin should get plenty of much-needed work.

Austin hasn't caught a pass this season and has only had three passes come his way. The Cowboys are counting on him to stretch the field, although question marks about his hands and whether he can stay healthy remain.

Another receiver who could be in for plenty of action is undrafted rookie free agent Kevin Ogletree, who is making a strong push to secure a roster spot.

If the Cowboys keep just five receivers, with Williams, Austin, Hurd and Patrick Crayton the locks, it could come down to Ogletree or Isaiah Stanback.

Ogletree's been more productive in camp and the preseason, but don't discount the fact the Cowboys spent a fourth-round pick on Stanback and still rave about his off-the-charts athletic prowess.

But if Ogletree has a strong performance tonight, Stanback may wind up trying to prove his worth to another team.

Cut Stanback, he's had plenty of time to show something. Go withthe new guy and see how he does. The worst case scenario is that he's a bust like Stanback and that would mean we didn't get worse at the position.

Is it safe to say that Stanback is gone?

I don't know if it would be safe but I sure think it would be wisdom.
