To even start a thread like this invites visions of an "Ed Werder wanna-be".

What he said is exactly right. And to anybody that can read and write the english language, he did not "compare" the Cowboys to the Titans.

Agreed. Talk about a misleading title. He is basically saying it's a new season when the playoffs start. PLain and simple. On any given sunday, #6 could knock off #1, see last season. End of thread.

Even if Dallas manages to beat the Eagles on Sunday, does anybody really think they're going to the Super Bowl? A team that commits penalties and turnovers like the Cowboys do never goes anywhere but home.
No one gave the Giants much hope last season either & look how that turned out. I think the point he's trying to make is IF the Cowboys manage to get IN the Playoffs, they have as good a shot as ANYONE already there. Win/Loss records in the regular season ( or momentum going into the Playoffs * The Commanders* ) don't mean SQUAT at that point & ANY TEAM can be beaten on ANY GIVEN SUNDAY ( or Saturday ) in the Playoffs.

Romo compares Cowboys to AFC's No. 1 seed

IRVING - There's a lot of spin coming out of Valley Ranch this week, but Tony Romo took it to new heights Tuesday when he compared the Cowboys to one of the AFC's elite teams.

"We aren't looking ahead, we aren't looking behind, we're not looking anything," Romo told reporters in the locker room this afternoon. "Right now, we have as good a chance as the Tennessee Titans if we go win this weekend. I think that's a really positive note that we can all take around here."

Sorry, Tony, but that's ridiculous. The Titans have been consistently good all season and just wrapped up homefield advantage with a rout of the Steelers, a team the Cowboys couldn't beat.

Even if Dallas manages to beat the Eagles on Sunday, does anybody really think they're going to the Super Bowl? A team that commits penalties and turnovers like the Cowboys do never goes anywhere but home.

Anything can happen. Giants won the Superbowl after being 10-6. Steelers, when they won their Superbowl they were the last seed and was 10-6.

Not saying Dallas will or won't go to the superbowl but you get into the playoffs everybody is 0-0.

Ya, Romo maybe onto something. Look at the playoff teams that are in. Do any of them teams worry you? Giants? NO! Carolina? No! Vikes? No! Arizonia? NO WAY! Atlanta? A little! Look, there is not one NFC Conference team that is all that and IMO Dallas can beat all of them and in fact they already have!

Its kinda true other than the Titans get a 1st round bye.

You guys act like Dallas isn't capable of beating any team in this league.

When the Playoffs start its anybody's trophy.

Ask Pittsburgh and New York.

That's what I got from the interview. Once again people making a mountain out of nothing.

The point he was making, and it's true, is that once teams are in the playoffs everyone has a shot at winning it all.

I believe the last three seaons people have been given evidence that being the #1 seed and getting homefield through out entitles those teams to exactly NOTHING.

I guess it would have been better to say we had no chance and not sure why we should even show up for a playoff game.

Personally I think his "my INT was just like a punt that put 3pts on the board" was more bothersome.

All he is saying is "once in, we have a chance, any team has a chance".

I agree with this assessment.

It sounds like he meant once your in the playoffs anything goes. These reporters are so stupid with the constant spin B.S.

The people that are complaining about this are the same ones that will complain that he never shows leadership. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

:hammer:

If anyone doesn't think that, you can go ask New England about last year too. Anyone remember this book that was pre-selling on Amazon?
