Gurode--supposedly he couldn't do the shotgun, well we live in it now, also how about the o-lin overall, anybody still missing last years right tackle, I think not, how about Larry Allen, not, well maybe a little sentimentally but otherwise, and you know odl Flo finally has gotten back to game shape, even Rivera has been at least average, and the fullback, wow all makes you forget about Carpenter being a dud...

agree on gurode...

i'd say the offensive line generally, i.e. as a group.

i don't think they're world beaters by any means. i don't think they approach the OL of the 90s.

however, as a group, they have clearly exceeded expectations, IMHO.

...and seemingly continue to improve game by game

Exceeded expectations? Consider our expectations were "disaster waiting to happen" then yes they exceeded them. But I still maintain we have a problem with our OL. Romo's excellent mobility makes them look better and also believe they are playing better then expected, but OL is one of few problem areas we must upgrade in the offseason so we can win the SB in Jan/Feb 98 if we don't make it there this year.

1. Upgrade OL
2. Acquire a good FS (is Watkins the man or not?)
3. Improve our depth at CB; Aaron Glenn isn't getting any younger and Henry isn't as good as he was in 05 before his injury. Are Reeves/Jones good enough to start if we get an injury?
4. Improve our pass rush.
5. Depth behind NT Ferguson? Heard Stanley looking better then when we cut him; realistically could be better then decent backup now or in 07?
6. Like utilizing both RBs but don't feel JJ is living up to his end

Recommendations:
1. Cut Riveria & sign FA OG who young FA OG who can replace him.
2. Draft OT
3. Sign good backup NT in FA (age doesn't matter cause all we need is a year while developing another younger guy--Stanley?)
4. Draft a first day CB (maybe first rounder) and move Henry to FS unless Watkins steps it up
5. Draft RB cause I don't think JJ handles his ned of running duo.
