This was a fun thread started at Extremeskins. I think it could start some nice discussions over here, too. Really, there are only two positions without clear starters (TE,CB)

QB-McNabb
RB-Portis
FB-Sellers
*Hback-Cooley
TE-Witten/Shockey (toughest call on the team)
WR-TO
WR-Moss
T-Jansen,Samuels
G-Andrews,Thomas
C-Rabach (he's no pro-bowler but he's the best C in the NFCE)

DE-Osi,Strahan (Strahan to be replaced with Carter/Spears)
DT-Griffin,Ferguson
OLB-Washington,Ware
ILB-Pierce
CB-Springs,Newman (deepest position in division-Sheppard,Brown,Rogers)
S-Taylor,Williams

ST-Randle El
K-Vanderjagt
P-Pick

Who would you honestly replace then?

The hotel is a pro-bowl tackle outside of last year when he was injured.

I think Chris Snee deserves a spot on the list. No way Portis gets on there over Tiki. Maybe Runyan over Jansen, but that's probably nit-picking. Decent enough list.

Tiki Barber was an MVP candidate last year.

I'll give you one of the Skins OTs, but both of them? Plus one of the Guards and the Center? 4 of the best in the powerhouse NFCE on 1 OL? Come on man.

I'll take Dawkins over Taylor (and Williams for that matter).

Can't agree on Springs either though I like him a lot. There's a guy just signed by NY named Sam Madison you ought to check out.

I like how yo slid H-back in there since Cooley can't crack the list at TE.

The defense is also a 4-3 so its an apples to oranges thing in the front 7.

I'd take Anthony Henry over springs any day. Oh yea - didn't both of the Eagles corners make the pro bowl just 2 yrs ago. Funny how an always injured, overrated(in my opinion) aging corner passed up both those guys.

Forgot that one. FS should unquestionably be Dawkins - good call.

My wife's a Dolphins fan. I haven't been impressed with Madison for two years. But I definitely think Brown or Sheppard deserve consideration at CB. I'm fine with Springs, though - Madison - I'm quite pleased he plays for the Giants now, him AND McQuarters.:D

He has never played TE, so I can't very well list him there or compare him to the people play TE. We may get the chance to see him there this season, still so many questions about the role of Cooley/Sellers/Johnson for the Skins in Saunders' scheme.

True, but 3/4 teams in the division play the 4-3, so...

Yeah, but we could add James as the 2nd ILB...

Good list but I would make one change, Bledsoe over McNabb and here's why.

Given time, Bledsoe is very accurate and is the better passer. With a very solid O-Line like you have listed there is no reason why he wouldn't have all day back there.

With a poor O-Line I would take McNabb every time though.

Actually, as I think about it a bit more I think I would take Eli over both of them.

Jansen is younger, stronger, better, and doesn't cheat.

Portis is better than Tiki. Tiki had a great year last year, but I don't see it being repeated. CP is a 1500 yard 10 TD back for several more years.

If you want to base this on projection rather than last years stats, you leave this way open to interpitation.

The Skins have the 2 best tackles. Thomas is the best guard in the division hands down. Center is the weakest position in the division, Rabach is the best of them.

Taylor and Williams are both better players.

Madison is overrated and on a massive decline. The Dolphins wouldn't have let go a quality corner.

My point was that Tiki had one phenomenal season. He is not a better back than Portis.
