We seen that Malcom Brown was not a person of interest for the cowboys and just like Floyd a couple years ago...we passed on him.

Going into day 3 I know some are clamoring for someone like Jarrett (I like him as well) but to my knowledge we have shown no interest in him.

So here are some names, by positions, that we might pick IF our interest in them is any indication.

DE

Randy Gregory
Eli Harold
O.Odiggy
Danielle Hunter
Mario Edwards Jr
Frank Clark

DT

Carl Davis
Xavier Cooper

RB

TJ Yeldon
Tevin Coleman
Jay Ajayi
Buck Allen
I did not realize it but we apparently have also talked with
Duke Johnson

WR

DGB
Devin Smith
Chris Conley

QB

Bryce Petty
Brett Hundley
Garrett Grayson

DB

Ronald Darby
Quentin Rollins
PJ Williams
Jalen Collins
Josh Shaw
Eric Rowe

LB

Eric Kendricks
Paul Dawson
Benardrick McKinney

OT/OG

Daryl Williams

So again...if you are clamoring for a player that we have shown no interest in (like Jarrett), you might want to keep your hopes in check. I will not say they will NOT take that player but your odds are better looking at some of the players they have shown interest and also keep in mind that just because you want a specific position does not mean they see the same value at that position and the spot they draft at.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Apparently they have their eyes on CB Alex Carter, and he never had any visit or workout.

Very nice and accurate list I think. I think you can find our draftees through round 4 in this list of players.
In the 5h round, I think they will look hard for a kickoff/punt return man.

Per my quote...

I will not say they will NOT take that player but your odds are better looking at some of the players they have shown interest .

But like I also said above...I did not know they had interest in Duke Johnson until someone said they talked to him or visited with him at the combine.

So it is a crap shoot.

You might have a few players they thought would never be available. They might have met with some of these players but we were just not aware of it.

There are just cases we don't know about and there are cases that are exceptions.

In the list above I only listed players that will probably be round 2-3 (sure some might be considered a little later but I bumped them up a little for the sake of the list )

Would be very happy to see McKinney or Kendricks. We need LB depth.

I think if 2-3 RBs they like go off the board before they pick...they will go ahead and pull the trigger on one they like unless some defensive talent the liked fell that they just did not see happening.

Of course...this is just my opinion right now.

I really would like to know what they think of Ajayi now. I know they liked him enough to have the coaches take him out to dinner when he visited but that was before we heard of the bone on bone knee issue.

Not at the expense of possibly gaining a starter on the DL or at RB. These two would be luxury, based on their value relative to the board.

They are looking hard at McKinney for pass rushing DE in our scheme. He's only a two down player if they
drafted him at LB. I think the Boys worked him out mostly at DE with his hand on the ground.

He and Yeldon are who I think they are looking at that could be their at #60.

Have heard or read a couple of different people saying...don't be shocked if Jacksonville takes yeldon high in the 2nd ahead of the other backs.

I could see them moving up a little bit for either Ajayi or Kendricks.

that would be interesting if he went that high, but I think there will be a run of about 5 backs taken in the 2nd round

If Gregory is there at 60, I think you almost have to take him. I dont think he will be though.

I can't disagree with that, but it depends on if there is a DL.

I still think a RB can be had in the third so I would consider an ILB there.

Coleman in the 2nd. We have to trade up to get him though, no way he falls to us at 60.

So here are some names, by positions, that we might pick IF our interest in them is any indication.

DE

Randy Gregory - Worth trading up for if he falls past 40 IMO
Eli Harold - Would take at 60 but not worth a trade up with all the other pass rushers still left
O.Odiggy - Injury history scares me.. Hoping someone else grabs him
Danielle Hunter - Would take in the 3rd if he somehow falls
Mario Edwards Jr - Would like to take him at 60.. can play LDE and rotate in at 3 tech
Frank Clark - Good target for our 3rd round pick.. Like him a lot

DT

Carl Davis - If falls to 60 you have to consider just because he can probably be our starting 1 tech on day one.
Xavier Cooper - I'll pass

RB

TJ Yeldon - This is my hope for pick #60. Really hoping some way he falls.. Would consider trading up for him if he lasts past 45
Tevin Coleman - Overrated to me but would be fine with the pick at 60.
Jay Ajayi - I'll pass. Didn't like the player to begin with and knee injury scares me even more.
Buck Allen - I'll pass here too.
I did not realize it but we apparently have also talked with
Duke Johnson - Another one I'll pass on.. Too short and the idea of him is better than the reality.. Isn't all that explosive and can't pass block.

WR

DGB - Not sure where you play him but if they are comfortable with his background and he is there at 60 you have to consider
Devin Smith - Doubt he'll make it to 60 but have to consider if he does
Chris Conley - Rather take him in the 4th but maybe consider in 3rd as well.. I Like the player.

QB

Bryce Petty - No thanks
Brett Hundley - Most "Talented" QB in the draft but idk if that means anything.. If we take a developmental QB this would be my guy
Garrett Grayson - I'll pass

DB

Ronald Darby - You just drafted a project CB.. Gotta pass on Darby now
Quentin Rollins - Just drafted a CB/FS.. Pass on Rollins
PJ Williams - If he makes to 60 have to consier.. IMO better than Byron Jones as of today
Jalen Collins - Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol.
Josh Shaw - Same thing as Rollins
Eric Rowe - Same thing as Collins and Rollins

LB

Eric Kendricks - Too undersized.. I'll pass
Paul Dawson - No thanks
Benardrick McKinney - Praying he makes it to 60.. Worth the pick.. Maybe even worth a trade up if he gets past 45

OT/OG

Daryl Williams - Maybe.. Not sure.. If I am the Cowboys I am waiting til day 3 for OL
