Hey guys. Im looking at getting a NAS for my work. I need gigabit network capable and around 1 Terabyte of storage. Anyone have some exp with one of these monsters. I am looking at a Buffalo NAS (1TB) its around $700.

We are going to convert the old cotton bowl movies for the CBAA. I need room to store raw footage so this seems like the optimal solution atm.

We have one but I couldn't tell you how much storage it has. We use it for backups.

Sorry we use SAN over NAS at my location so no idea on that one plus a 1TB data is like pocket change in this location

Heck we have 3 LaCie 1TB Bigger Disk USB/FW Hard Drive just to transfer data back and forth with Vendors

Has it been solid? What brand? We are going to use it to back up data that I am converting to digital. Trying to figure out the best product for our need without spending excess cash.

I don't really deal with it so I don't know the specs on it.
